I posted this as a reply to Matt Connor's front page article entitled:

The Chiefs Cannot Lose on Draft Weekend

I thought it was a pretty decent play off of what he was trying to get across but this time with reasons we cannot afford to lose on draft weekend.

This is probably the most pivotal draft we will face in the next 5 years because of:

A. This draft’s depth
B. Our team needs
C. Our fan base

We cannot afford to miss on our targets this year, this draft is too deep. We need youthfull playmakers and just better players at alot of positions. If we do not address those needs this weekend then I’m afraid we are doomed for another long losing season. Some of our fan base is wavering and the economy is not helping, without effective players we will not win many more games which will lead to more blackouts and loss of fans. Add to that the new improvements to Arrowhead and the eventual rise in ticket prices because of said improvements. People will not pay for mediocrity much longer, hell we aren’t even mediocre! Not trying to freak anyone out but this is a MAJOR draft for the future of the Chiefs, we must win and win soon. We cannot afford to lose on draft weekend.
