In the past week we have heard a lot about the chiefs possibility of trading down. From what I have seen and heard there have been talk of a few different teams that may want to deal with us: the Eagles and the 49ers.The Eagles are looking for Berry, but I really don't see a deal with the Eagles panning out. For us to get the value we should from the Eagles we would need their first three picks: #24, #37, and #55 and we are still coming up a little short in value. I really don't see the Eagles giving up there first three to move up. In that case, I could see them offering #24, #55, and first round next year which would be anywhere from 22 - 32. I'm don't like it.
Our other option is looking like the 49ers, who need a QB and with Clausen (or Bradford, if he falls) available here this is more of what I can see happening. The 49ers have two first round picks: #13 and #17. Hitting perfect value for the trade we would send #5 and #50 to San Fran for #13 and #17. Whether San Fran would take this is still questionable since they are also heavy on needs. But I see this this as a more probable situation.
In this case, this leaves us open to address a couple more of our needs with immediate starters. We can get Rolando McClain at #13 and then with #17 we have three possible choices as I see possibly available: Trent Williams, Earl Thomas, or Terrance Cody. My vote is for Thomas.
I'd take that trade. Berry for McClain AND Thomas. I see this being the best bet for us.
