Chiefs RFA's Croyle, Mays, Niswanger & O'Callaghan holding out. What would be the reasoning behind them not signing their tenders earlier? Is it about a better contract? Is it about wanting to go elsewhere? Are there other reasons? What do AP readers think?

No
I don’t think it’s anything. They’ll probably sign.
In fact, they can sign an injury waiver and still practice. There are over 100 RFAs that haven’t signed. It’s nothing unusual.
I suppose each of them might have a different reason for waiting til the last day.
So what happens if they don’t sign?

If they're holding out
they are all underestimate their significance. A case can be made for Croyle and maybe O’Cal, but not Mayes and Niswanger. Niswanger should’ve signed his as soon as possible. After last season he doesn’t have much collateral
With the news that there is no Crohn's disease on it, I'm back on the McClain train

I just have a feeling Croyle gets traded...
I know Haley likes him but I would not put it past them…
Well Croyle's the only one who has any trade value

The only one...
Well, I actually believe Mays may have a little trade value. I thought he did a solid job for us last year. Just remember him and his hair in on a lot of tackles.
With the 5th pick in the 2010 draft the Kansas City Chiefs select Eric Berry of Tennessee!

no doubt in my mind that he will be back for 2010 RT @Joel_Holland: @JoshLooney any real reason to keep Croyle?

Oh great. More Croyle bashing.
Like he could have been any better than he was under the circumstances. No talent around him. No line. No coach. Shitty play calls. No run game.
Yeah. He had every opportunity to succeed.
????
Not gonna find me bashing Croyle…I really like the guy…he will be an outstanding QB someday…If we ever let him go, he’ll end up on some team like the Raiders and win a stinkin’ Super Bowl 2 years later like Gannon did.
