As we were just discussing Tim Tebow in our latest mock draft pick, I came across a curious quote from Nancy Gay of FanHouse.com:

Why the sudden spike in Tebow's draft status? Everyone knows that Tebow's retooled compact passing motion drew rave reviews from the 75 NFL executives, head coaches and scouts who watched his mid-March workout in Gainesville. Tebow also has showcased his skills in private workouts with Buffalo, Kansas City, Cleveland and Washington, which recently sent shockwaves through the NFL by trading for Donovan McNabb.    

Hmm...I hadn't heard this yet. The story is dated April 7th.

The Chiefs scouted Florida Gators games on a number of occasions during the 2009 season so I know they've seen him in action. 

A private workout would indicate Chiefs reps flew down to Florida to see him workout on campus. Players do not work out on visits to a team's city.
