Brandon Marshall
Yes I'm very excited about the sign of Jones and Chambers...
but I just been thinking and obviously you know I'm more of a wide reciever person what I mean by that is I'm all for us bringing wide reciever help in just to see who fits in plus I have another post about Roy Williams from the Dallas Cowboys.but I haven't heard anything on Brandon Marshall signing with anyone yet so I came with this conclusion, why don't we (Kansas City Chiefs) try and trade our 2nd round pick this year or if not that our 1st next year I say 1st because we're going to win 9or more games next year HOPEFULLY but what would you guys think of that? I know having Chambers,Bowe how could we manage to make that work by adding Marshall but we can fix that some way!

hi, Mo!
5 minutes!!!
Not going to happen
Denver wouldn’t allow that to happen and second I’m concerned about off the field issues, work ethic and attitude. All bad signs to help a 4-12 team. I will PASS! “Everything that shines is not gold”

Well listen. I kow this is going to throw some people up in arms. But here goes.
I’m just saying that Pioli does have a history, and yes it could have been all hoodie for all I know and not Pioli, of taming unruly types. Look. EVERYONE said the same thing about Moss at one point. He looked like he had lost his mojo and his attitude was exactly like BM’s in Oakland. Now to those of us who have to deal with Oakland and their stupidity, that’s no shock. But to other teams fans who aren’t in the same division, signing Moss probably seemed like a rather stupid move. Nothing could be further from the truth.
I would like to be optimistic that young BM has learned his lesson. But lets face it. Let me ask you a question with all the other issues put aside for a second. Let’s just for one second, put aside any of his off field antics. Would you feel pretty excited and elated knowing that Chambers and Bowe and Brandon were our QB’s targets?
Just hang with me one more second. Tell me how instantly upgraed our offense would be if that were the case. If you cover Charles, we give the ball to jones. If you cover Jones, he blocks for Charles. If you cover both of them, which you have to if your a defensive guy, you can’t ignore those guys if their both in the backfield. If you cover them, who will cover Chambers? If you cover Chamers who will cover Bowe? If you cover either one of them, you CAN’T over BM. You would have to double team him most games. Which makes our other recievers OPEN for a change.
I know it would be a risk. It would. It might be a terrible decision. But we DO know this muchy for sure. Josh McD, caused a lot of stink over in Denver. Ok? And if were honest, NONE of us KNOWS absolutley what happened behind the scenes. We don’t. Its all speculation. But think about this one last point. If its just that BM is a prick, then let me ask you this;
Why did Cutler refuse to come back? He wouldn’t return a phone call. Why did Sheffler refuse to cooperate? I’m just saying its food for thought. If BM were the ONLY one over there acting a fool, I could see it. But when your best 3 offensive players all act the same way. It adds to BM’s case that Josh is an unreasonable beligerent ass.
Prior to the McDaniels thing, I can recall BM paying to have a photograph of his first TD with Cutler framed and sent to Cutlers house with a note saying something to the effect “This is our first TD together, it won’t be the last”.
That’s a team player. They had chemistry. Then ALL of a Sudden MCD shows up and the TEAM not just BM are in an upheaval. Maybe its not all BM and maybe a guy like could go back to the way he was before Josh showed up and pissed the whole team off. It wasnt just BM. Think about that.
I’m not saying hes a saint even prior to Joshs arrival. But I am contesting that he is not much different than any other super elite status receiver. Their ALL divas pretty much. With some exceptions. But when not being a spoiled diva WR is the exception not the norm, then BM is not out of line. We don’t know what happened over there that turned the team inside out. Not for sure we dont. I would love it Pioli and Haley sat down with BM and ironed it out and if THEY felt he was sincere and had good reason to have been upset in Denver and felt he had learned his lesson and wanted to play ball where he was appreciated, to have a mega talent like that here.
It would depend on what those “in the know” like Pioli and Haley felt about the big picture. But BM is a game changer for sure. The likes of which we don’t have except for Charles. The two of them on the same team spells disaster for our foes!!
dont be too quick to shut that idea down.

Good post. If we could get him here, man, that would be great!
What would we have to give for him?
Thats part of the issue #7. I don't know how much you should risk with his attitude problems
but I do think it’s worth a thought. At least consideration.
I would imagine that McD has a similar style to Haley, since they are all from the Parcells tree.
If Marshall had problems with McDaniels, I can’t imagine Marhsall getting along well here with Haley.
Toby is in HR, which technically means he works for corporate, so he's really not a part of our family. Also, he's divorced, so he's really not a part of his family.

I thought that too Rev. Until again, several other key members of the team that never had problems with Shannahan
like they did with McD, did the same thing. If it was ONLY BM, I would be 100% in agreement. And I’m not saying we should get BM either. I just think it might be prudent not to make a knee jerk reaction based on media coverage of what happened. They don’t know either.
It could very well be that he is a lot like Haley and that’s the problem. But it may not be. That may absolutley nothing to do with it. We don’t know. but if Pioli would sit down with him and hear his side of things maybe they find something out that we don’t know.
P.S. I don't think anyone in the NFL can cover him for an entire game. Not even Revis. Not at all for one whole game.
Last year, when he played against the number one defense at the time, The Skins, the put up 134 yards and 2 TDs. Against the highly ranked defense of the Colts, he put up 200 yards and 2 TDs. He comes to play folks. I think we could over look his antics that happened in Denver, if he came here and just played ball. Don’t you?
I beleive...
Marshall would be an incredible aquisition and that our coaches CAN keep him under control and you build his contract for that as well. I don’t think Denver would like seeing him with us at all and may block it, but again, bring him in.
In my opinion, other than a blocker and a TE of which we could probably just stand pat, we would be done on the offense and could focus on the lines and the D….
Man, makes me dreamy just thinking about Marshall, Chambers, and Bowe…..SIGH
Won't Happen
Do you really think the Donkey’s would trade with us…. If he played for a different team I would want him but it will not happen. If we were to trade Charles, Bowe or if Gonzo had gone to Denver this site might blow up. Lets discuss something that could happen.
I doubt it. but it if Pioli is as shrewd as his rep, he could sure work a 3 way trade behind the scenes without Denvers knowledge.
You know? Make a promise that if say the 49ers traded for BM and then we would secretly commit to give them DJ and a 2nd this year and a 2nd next year or something. I don’t understand any of the business side of it. But you get the concept.
