Around SBN: Are The Orioles Bad Or Unlucky With Their Young Pitching?

Brandon Marshall

Yes I'm very excited about the sign of Jones and Chambers...

Star-divide

but I just been thinking and obviously you know I'm more of a wide reciever person what I mean by that is I'm all for us bringing wide reciever help in just to see who fits in plus I have another post about Roy Williams from the Dallas Cowboys.but I haven't heard anything on Brandon Marshall signing with anyone yet so I came with this conclusion, why don't we (Kansas City Chiefs) try and trade our 2nd round pick this year or if not that our 1st next year I say 1st because we're going to win 9or more games next year HOPEFULLY but what would you guys think of that? I know having Chambers,Bowe how could we manage to make that work by adding Marshall but we can fix that some way!

Not going to happen

Denver wouldn’t allow that to happen and second I’m concerned about off the field issues, work ethic and attitude. All bad signs to help a 4-12 team. I will PASS! “Everything that shines is not gold”

Why not

Antonio Bryant? He’s an UFA.

Rec'd

Good post. If we could get him here, man, that would be great!

What would we have to give for him?

I would imagine that McD has a similar style to Haley, since they are all from the Parcells tree.

If Marshall had problems with McDaniels, I can’t imagine Marhsall getting along well here with Haley.

Toby is in HR, which technically means he works for corporate, so he's really not a part of our family. Also, he's divorced, so he's really not a part of his family.

by Rev. Slappy on Mar 10, 2010 11:26 AM CST up reply actions

I thought that too Rev. Until again, several other key members of the team that never had problems with Shannahan

like they did with McD, did the same thing. If it was ONLY BM, I would be 100% in agreement. And I’m not saying we should get BM either. I just think it might be prudent not to make a knee jerk reaction based on media coverage of what happened. They don’t know either.

It could very well be that he is a lot like Haley and that’s the problem. But it may not be. That may absolutley nothing to do with it. We don’t know. but if Pioli would sit down with him and hear his side of things maybe they find something out that we don’t know.

by krayfish on Mar 10, 2010 12:49 PM CST up reply actions

P.S. I don't think anyone in the NFL can cover him for an entire game. Not even Revis. Not at all for one whole game.

Last year, when he played against the number one defense at the time, The Skins, the put up 134 yards and 2 TDs. Against the highly ranked defense of the Colts, he put up 200 yards and 2 TDs. He comes to play folks. I think we could over look his antics that happened in Denver, if he came here and just played ball. Don’t you?

by krayfish on Mar 10, 2010 7:48 AM CST reply actions

I beleive...

Marshall would be an incredible aquisition and that our coaches CAN keep him under control and you build his contract for that as well. I don’t think Denver would like seeing him with us at all and may block it, but again, bring him in.

In my opinion, other than a blocker and a TE of which we could probably just stand pat, we would be done on the offense and could focus on the lines and the D….

Man, makes me dreamy just thinking about Marshall, Chambers, and Bowe…..SIGH

1st he is not a UFA

2nd the price Denver wants is too high.

by sgthall on Mar 10, 2010 10:03 AM CST reply actions

Won't Happen

Do you really think the Donkey’s would trade with us…. If he played for a different team I would want him but it will not happen. If we were to trade Charles, Bowe or if Gonzo had gone to Denver this site might blow up. Lets discuss something that could happen.

by mysonmylife on Mar 10, 2010 10:31 AM CST reply actions

I doubt it. but it if Pioli is as shrewd as his rep, he could sure work a 3 way trade behind the scenes without Denvers knowledge.

You know? Make a promise that if say the 49ers traded for BM and then we would secretly commit to give them DJ and a 2nd this year and a 2nd next year or something. I don’t understand any of the business side of it. But you get the concept.
