As some or perhaps many of you know, I have been traded to selected to play "GM" for the Detroit Lions in our upcoming 2-Round Mock Draft, and I am indeed honored. That said, I went over to Pride of Detroit, the blog site for those guys, and all I can say is "holy wow" ... compared to AP it's almost like a morgue over there.
A couple of examples if I may ... earlier today there were a couple of posts with a good number of comments on both, right here on AP. One was on Berry and Flowers being BFAs and it got over 200 comments. At the same time, another thread on our single top (#5) pick also was getting close to 200 comments. Awesome and well done by everyone, we rock, yes we do!
So I head over to Pride of Detroit and post an introduction and a poll (hey guys, help me decide who the Lions will pick with the #2 overall choice yadda yadda) and after half an hour there were ... THREE ... count 'em ... THREE posts, all saying that I had forgotten to include Eric Berry in the poll. That was it, not another word ... as of now, 50 minutes after the posting, I have like 8 comments, none of which address anyone other than "yeah, Berry is good" and 30 votes ... I think I can say without fear of contradiction that a similar posting and poll here on Arrowhead Pride would have upwards of 100 or more comments in an hour's time.
So, you ask, what's the "point" of this little diatribe? Well, the point is that I absolutely DO appreciate how passionate and provocative Chiefs fans truly are. We may agree, and we often disagree, but we are indeed the best and most passionate (or at least most vocal in terms of blog comments) ... and for the awesomeness that is Arrowhead Pride, a huge THANK YOU to Joel and Chris, and EVERYONE else behind the scenes who work so hard to make AP the best damn site in the Enn Eff Ell ... tip of the helmet to ALL of you in AP-Land!

I agree. This site gives me something to look forward too every day just because the info comes in so fast and accurately. I appreciate the hard work and dedication that everyone puts in as well.
Not only does this site help my day pass, but it keeps me in the loop with the organization and gives me a lot of perspective I otherwise couldnt come up with on my own at times. So thanks as well

Sorry I never replied to your meet for coffee offer.
I’ll take you up sometime when the games get closer. Or maybe meet to watch a game. Although for being out of market we have it pretty good here in Colorado with KC usually playing the early game. Although last season it seems I had to go out a lot more times.
I usually watch at Red n Jerry’s where you can get the sound for any game you want. But, I did go to the Pittsburgh bar off 25&120th(I think) with a Pitt fan for that game.

I gotta say I love (and am addicted to) this site. I don’t get much Chiefs news in San Diego.
sdchiefs ... we're all addicted to this place ... for that we can thank (or curse) Joel and Chris, among others
so many absolutely AWESOME people come on here … it’s a rare sort of cameraderie, all Chiefs connected, of course … but at times we do wander off topic, just a TINY bit (Joel, it was Steve’s idea on that Sunday thread, I swear! and Idaho, too … I was INNOCENT!!!)

okay i have cerebral palsy arthris and chronic fatigue as well i have a great life and loveing folks some days are better than other days i got a make-a-wish in 2001 and saw my favorite team the broncos it was the trip of a lifetime i wish everyone couild have gotten to enjoy that with me i know some of u hate the broncos and that okay but i bleed organ and bule for my mnr fans but i bleed orange and blue denver will rise again resident broncos fan for every blog resident broncos for stampede bule thanks shvd98z24

maybe it was a bad time for them, just kinda slow from what I’m used to seeing here at AP where a good post will routinely have 200-400 comments within a short time … where not only do we all have opinions, we voice those opions … often … and then again … then a few more times to make SURE we’re heard

but the main point is still valid … AP fans (and that includes you, j-man!) are the best anywhere … even those who disagree with me {{and shall me mocked forever and ever}}
