Chiefs Working Out Running Back From Wayne State

The Kansas City Chiefs aren't leaving any stone unturned for the NFL Draft. According to NFL Draft Bible, the Chiefs will conduct a private workout with Wayne State's Joique Bell on April 1st.

Bell is a running back and fits into the bigger back category at 5'11", 220 pounds.

He runs the 40 in the 4.5-4.6 range and has a 36.5 inch vertical leap.

He can also be a candidate to return kicks.

Bell is the 12th rated running back in the draft, according to NFL Draft Scout.

He's projected to go anywhere from the 5th-7th round.

Yeah, like how do you pronounce that?

Or is it like Prince’s unspeakable symbol?

2 hands, 2 feet ... yup, definitely a KR/PR candidate

(don’t mind me, I’m just waiting for the Mock Draft thing)

Interesting...

I will not be surprised at all the no-name players that enter camp from compensatory picks and CUFA’s.

And it’s amazing how many of them actually end up staying in the NFL and have a decent career.

Hmmm

Javarris Williams, anyone? Sounds just like him….small school big back with good numbers.

Uh where is Wayne State at?

I didn’t know we had a state of Wayne. Michigan State, Iowa State, Oklahoma State – more traditional “state” schools. Did the US capture Wayne overnight? I need to read Arrowheadlines more in depth in the morning.

It's a province of Canada

Known to most of us as “Wayne’s World” lol

Guy had 2084 rushing yards as a senior. That's a lot.

Then again Danny Woodhead had similar success against the same competition, and he’s camp fodder.

Danny Woodhead is a very good player. He is a project but he is very quick and has homerun ability.

My bold prediction and I think our best chance at moving down in the 1st. Bret Favre retires, Tavarris Jackson is not retained or leaves and the Vikings trade up, with our beloved Chiefs, for Jimmy Claussen.

This guy sounds like Javarris Williams 2.0

All the RB talk

makes me think we swung and missed on Williams last year. We’re looking at two old RBs and a no-name from Canadian school now… That doesn’t exactly sound like long-term help for Charles to me.

I already said that

I've had Bell in my mock to KC day one

Good kid, good student, team leader, decent power and speed an alround solid RB

by FrankPitts on Mar 9, 2010 2:23 PM CST reply actions

saw a youtube highlight reel of this kid

Amazing! But when you see who the defenders were (looked like you and I out there!) It puts things into perspective. Seems like an athlete. He’s no nfl punt returner that’s for sure. Kickoffs maybe. I’d say he’s an upgrade over Jwilliams
