Around SBN: Hugh Douglas Admits To Stealing From Jaguars

First fanpost

My first fanpost, I dont know how to start or what to say so I will jump right in.

Free agency, how bad does it suck no good young players, all are going to be atleast around 28 years old unless you wanna give up draft picks. This is such an important year being Todd and Scotts first full offseason, they have a great set of asst. coaches instead of scrounging around for the leftovers like last year and are unable to get any talented young free agents due to the cba agreement.

The only three free agents (besides our own rfa) are Chris Chambers , two year contract no more than that though, he"s old but knows the Haley way.  We also need a nose tackle, drafting one would not do any good for atleast a year due to strengh issues, here is no way a rookie can come in and take on two or three 30 year old offensive linemen who know all the tricks and have the strengh in all the right places, that is why we need BIG Shawn Rodgers he is only 28. Shawn will be good enough for a couple years untill we can get a 2010 draft pick used to the violence on the line of scrimige.

And lastly a ironhead running back like Justin Fargas, I can recall multiple time him running right up the gut against the Chiefs, We shoulndn't waste a draft pick on a back-up rb unless he is a must have. I dont think we need "lights out" saftey what we need is a run stuffing mlb to pair with play-making Derrick Johnson in the middle so he can get free to make plays from sideline to sideline. The Mlb we need doesnt have to be fast, just smart, mean, and strong. If DJ diddn't have to have his primary focus being stopping the run he will be an all-pro.

The man-beast nose tackle will greatly help our LSU D.Ends a lot,  imagine Glenn Dorsey and (a much stronger) Tyson Jackson only having to deal with one lineman instead of two all the time , they will have to use a tight end to help which will free up our outside backers and give our slower rookie mlb time to react and D.J. time to rome the middle for those darn-ole crossing routes and slants that kill us. with those improvements we would'nt need a "lights out" saftey (they are supposed to be covering recievers anyway).

So draft picks should be:

First round A left tackle move Albert to right gaurd or keep Albert playing left depending on who does better,

Second Round:  a big MLB,  second pick: strong saftey or corner back and move Carr to free safety and Page to strong safety( he can hit and Carr can cover).

Third round:  a big, big, mean 330lb nose tackle (and dont make him loose the weight either)

Fourth through seventh take the best player on the the board. so to summerize Free agency: Shawn Rodgers, Chris Chambers. Justin Fargas, and a slot reciever???.

In the draft (this order) A stating Offensive Lineman, a big strong MLB,  Cornerback/free-safety, a man-beast nose tackle. if we get those guys and use Charles to as our punt/kick returner and justin fargas for 50% of the carries, we oughta be okay for this year and try harder in the 2011 free agency, can you say dynasty in  the making??? P.S. I HATE the Broncos

Regardless of who the Chiefs pick at #5 overall, Whitlock will call it the worst pick in the history of the Chiefs. Heres to hoping that #5 pick runs Whitlock out of town.....

Shaun Rogers Age

Shaun may, in fact, be able to help the Chiefs for a couple of years, but be aware that he turns 31 years old this Friday.
