Don't see 49ers making a big run at RB Justin Fargas. He's 30 with no value as return man. Last returned kickoffs (never punts) in 2003.

Chiefs have a Tuesday visit scheduled with Fargas.

agreed

im waiting to hear the news on jones

You're a goddamn quarterback! You know what that means? It's the top spot, kid. It's the guy who takes the fall. It's the guy everybody's looking at first - the leader of a team - who will support you when they understand you. Who will break their ribs and their noses and their necks for you, because they believe. 'Cause you make them believe. That's a quarterback.

I like Jones

But the dude has been a stud the last 3 yrs. Are we sure he wants to be immediate backup? Why not stay in NYJ then? kinda confused by his visit. Hope we sign him though. Be a great balanced attack at rb. Then get a wr and a couple o-linemen. Offense should be decent then.

What makes you think we wouldn't offer him the oppertunity to win the job?

This staff has shown time and time again that they want the best chance at winning to be on the field. Besides he has nothing to go back to in NY because they have made it clear that the only reason they want him back is to pretty much carry the load if someone get hurt. NYJ would get the big middle finger from me considering I just gave them 1400 yards and 14 TDs.

My bold prediction and I think our best chance at moving down in the 1st. Bret Favre retires, Tavarris Jackson is not retained or leaves and the Vikings trade up, with our beloved Chiefs, for Jimmy Claussen.

coulda restructured

He knew darn well he wasnt get that 10 mil. But, I guess, based off principla he left. Weird situation in the NFL with these delayed roster bonuses.

True.

But if your team cuts you to save a bonus, and then wants to sign you back for less money? That would be a bitter pill to swallow. Especially after you kicked ass for them the last season.

Roster bonus was $3.3 mil

Not $10 mil.

I can also understand him feeling a little ticked at the Jets after the year he just had.

At the same time, I can understand completely why the Jets did it. Greene is a stud.

Im leaning towards Fargas...

Less miles/runs angry/knows the AFC west…

But what the hell do I know…

At least Fargas doesn't suffer from Turf toe... like others on the Raiders team.

Isn’t Willie Parker an URFA?

I would be interested in getting him in… I know that he has been banged up the last season and a half…

Go Chiefs!!!!

If Jones is smart

He knows less carries will prolong his career. If he is a foolish like LT, he will sit around and complain about not getting enough carries and no one will want him.

I think Jones is a team player and a smart guy. I think he knows at 32, splitting carries will be best for him.

or vice versa

just by having two backs like JC and Jones is going to make defense’s gameplan longer for us, so which ever back is hot during whichever game let them pound it out.

Regardless of who the Chiefs pick at #5 overall, Whitlock will call it the worst pick in the history of the Chiefs. Heres to hoping that #5 pick runs Whitlock out of town.....
