Pioli is a smart guy and we could not of hired a better GM. However, a few things that bother me:
1) He suffers from the sin of Hubris. He is too smart for his own good. He needs to question everything and not base it on his past success. You would think that his last draft would get him to start rethinking his formula for success. Don't get me wrong. We don't want Dan Synder stupidity. We want a creative balanced risk taker.
2) He is not innovative. Eveything is built on a template he used 10 years ago. I am sick of the Patriot way and the Parcell tree. Winners are innovator's Innovator's that create new ways based on thier past success. They don't just follow the formula.
3) He must overpay and take a few big risk. Guess what Scott, your team is 4-12. We are tired of the 5 year plans. We need some excitement and I don't care about value. Your need to make a splash a la the Joe Montana acquisition. Pump some life back into the fan base and get some momentum.
Scott - shoot me an email if you need further clarification. You have the skills, you just need to take off the diapers that your Uncle Bills have been changing for you.
