Chiefs Give Mike Vrabel $3 Million For One Year

Stay connected for news and updates

Who says 34 year old linebackers aren't valuable in the NFL?

The Kansas City Chiefs gave Mike Vrabel a contract totaling $3.025 million, according to Aaron Wilson of the National Football Post.

The contract includes a $1.6 million base salary and a $1.425 million roster bonus.

Vrabel had a $2.2 million base salary in 2009.

This is a good deal for the Chiefs. Vrabel's leadership and locker room presence is invaluable for a young team like the Chiefs.

Vrabel was obviously one of the Chiefs priorities heading into free agency. He was the only player set to be an unrestricted free agent that the Chiefs re-signed before the start of free agency.
