Please Read: Use the Flag Feature

Good evening everyone,

It's a big traffic day for AP which means more comments and more FanPosts than we can keep track of.

That also means it's time for me to remind us to use the Flag Feature to flag comments and and FanPosts that violate our community guidelines.

The Flag button is available underneath every post and underneath every comment. Click actions to access it.

It's sort of like the Rec feature we all use so well but for negative stuff. It doesn't auto ban anyone. It helps us keep track of comments and FanPosts people think we should take a look at more closely - insults, racist or ethnic references.

I ask that you use this because, as you've probably noticed, we get a ridiculous number of comments and posts on the site now and us and the moderators have a lot of to keep track of. If you use the Flag feature on a post or comment, it will show up in our comments dashboard, making it really easy for us to address the problem.

Right now, it only takes one flag to turn a comment red (that only moderators can see) and report it on our dashboard.

Also, if you see a FanPost that should be a FanShot (very few words, no analysis, or a cut & paste job), please Flag that too.

I must say

I do not agree with the “self police” idea. See above comments for resaoning.

I’m fine, but, if I had, or was in charge of, young kids, this site would require parental controls.

Ultimate source of info, for some reason = inablity to control cussing.

I make “off color” jokes, but I do not need to use the type of language displayed above.

Just my 2 cents.

Predictions:

yes

with age comes discretion… but uh, one episode of family guy is far worse than anything i’ve ever seen on this site… it becomes a matter of personal responsibility regardless – one cannot stop all perceived evils.

this community will come to represent its members as the flag and rec functions are used more widely. the interplay and disagreement, and the learning that arises from doing so are invaluable, and part of the fun.

okay i have cerebral palsy arthris and chronic fatigue as well i have a great life and loveing folks some days are better than other days i got a make-a-wish in 2001 and saw my favorite team the broncos it was the trip of a lifetime i wish everyone couild have gotten to enjoy that with me i know some of u hate the broncos and that okay but i bleed organ and bule for my mnr fans but i bleed orange and blue denver will rise again resident broncos fan for every blog resident broncos for stampede bule thanks shvd98z24
