Around SBN: Are The Orioles Bad Or Unlucky With Their Young Pitching?

What about us?

The 12th man

Star-divide

I notice a lot lately on this site that we talk about The Draft and how a certain player would boost this team, whether its on offense or defense, or even special teams.  Or how maybe through Free Agency we can grab some savvy veterans that have a few years left to mold our new drafted players or younger players we have already on the roster.  There is one thing that I havent seen or read about at least on here that I think helps every player on the team, and thats us.

What I mean by that is this team and all teams in the NFL feed off of the crowds energy.  I mean how would you feel if 70,000 people were on their feet shaking the ground you were playing on cause they were proud to be your fans? EVERY team thrives off of that and it gets them through the game, let alone the 4th quarter when their body is wanting to shut down.  I miss those days.  Like the 2003 playoff game against Indy, I will never forget that game.  That had to be the loudest Arrowhead had ever gotten since i have been alive when Dante Hall returned that kick for the TD.   If you were there you know what im talking about.  That stadium got rocked and not one moment during that game was it close to quiet.

I know this team is not that 13-3 team, but it is still our Chiefs.  And I dont know about you but I am still the same loud, annoying, pain in the ass fan that cheers them on the same way going 2-14, 4-12, or 13-3.  Why should that ever change?  Why should we quiet down because they go 4-12, because you think you have nothing to cheer for? Well let me be the first to tell you, you are dead wrong.  How about you cheer for them just as loud because they go out there with a more than half empty stadium and still play their hearts out for the faithful who watch?  Or maybe just cheer for them because we are one of the 32 lucky cities to even have a franchise to cheer for. Or maybe cheer for them because that is their passion and they need and love the support?...

My whole point is this, in 2010 it could be the last season of football for the next two years.  If I had 70,000 friends and millions of dollars, I would buy everyone a ticket and make 2010 the loudest Arrowhead has been in a while.   I think this year could be the year this franchise gets turned around and headed in the right direction, lets hope and cheer as loud as possible for that... Lets make Arrowhead the loudest most intimidating sea of red again!  I cant do it alone thats for sure!

GO CHIEFS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I've always been too poor to afford a ticket

but I dream of being there someday. And you had better believe it when I say I’m cheering even when I’m not there…even when it’s not Sunday.

I wear an old faded, paint and grease stained Chiefs hat, I have a long sleeved T-shirt with holes in it…(I threw out my LJ Jersey)…I have a sweatshirt and a ski jacket I got from my brother-in-law for Christmas 15 years ago.

I wear these things with pride…and it screams for the red and gold…Go Chiefs!

(and my boss who loves the donkeys hates me for it…lol)

The future is ours KC Chiefs fans!!!!!

wear them with pride, everywhere i go i wear something Chiefs and let the world know, my military obligations usually prevent me from attending any games but im there in spirit and any place i watch the game at knows there is at least one Chiefs fan there!!!

Regardless of who the Chiefs pick at #5 overall, Whitlock will call it the worst pick in the history of the Chiefs. Heres to hoping that #5 pick runs Whitlock out of town.....

Wal Mart might have Chiefs gear on clearance right now.

Got a Chiefs hoodie that was regularly $35 for $15 a couple of weeks ago.

My sentiments are likely to be summed up with one of these 2 quotes:

"Shut the f--- up."- Matt Cassel
"WHAT THE F---?!?!"- Todd Haley

Clearance!

I got a Chiefs tie for $10 and a Chiefs Gillette Fusion razor for $6 at a Wal-mart in Iowa…I was in shock to see these things in the building, let alone for that cheap.

Patience is truly a virtue, good things will happen soon

If I lived in KC

I would definitely be there. My wife and I flu in from Seattle for the Chiefs Charger game in 2008, I screamed my ass off and was having a great time till D-Bowe dropped that onside kick… What an ass!!! But it was cool, we plan on going to the Chiefs-Seachickens game this year in Seattle and show them what a real fan looks like.

That game broke my streak of Chiefs Wins

That I attended. Great game until the onside kick. The Chargers used to be a give me. Oh how times change.

I plan on making the drive from

Mississippi to KC to take my 10 year old daughter to her first Chiefs game. Would love it if it were loud and sold out so she could experience the same atmosphere I experienced when DT KC stripped. When Neil Smith hit his homers, and when Priest would turn the corner and do his cool-ass stride across the goal line.

The Chiefs will take a defensive player with 3 out of their first 4 picks in 2010

My wife

never saw a football game in her life until I took her to a Chiefs game. Now she is a bigger fan(of football) than me. (she does have a huge crush on Peyton Manning) but she loves her Chiefs We go at least once a year to a home game.
You should hear her cussing at the referee’s at home watching on TV. I should tape her for u tube.

I dream of going to Arrowhead

Being stuck in Florida, it’s really difficult for me to make the trip. I’m hoping to make it up there sometime during the next two seasons.

by UKCfan47 on Mar 4, 2010 11:05 AM CST reply actions

I live in Orlando

You can count me in. I just don’t know which game you are thinking about going to or when the Chiefs will be coming to Florida. Whenever you figure something out, feed me the information.

The GREAT WALL will bring it home for UK. 2010 NCAA Champs, Baby.. GO BIG BLUE!!!

"What about us" my ass!

What about all of you?? Leave me out of this.

It’s never too early to point fingers and place blame.

This is my signature line. It is full of awesome and win.

Ok, What about you Satch?

My bold prediction and I think our best chance at moving down in the 1st. Bret Favre retires, Tavarris Jackson is not retained or leaves and the Vikings trade up, with our beloved Chiefs, for Jimmy Claussen.

WRITE IT DOWN!

by BigRedChief on Mar 4, 2010 1:19 PM CST up reply actions

Hell yea!

I’ll be there once or twice a year every year, cause thats all I can afford. But I’d go to every game if I could. My dream is to someday get season tickets!

by chiefs_fan83 on Mar 4, 2010 1:11 PM CST reply actions

Had to take Monday off of work...

after I went to the Bills game, lost my voice and it was worth it. I get to go to one game a year and I make it count.

Even scored front row seats, which my buddy and I decided it might be the last chance to get seats that good…This was my first game since I have been 21, so I “enjoyed” myself a lot.

Patience is truly a virtue, good things will happen soon
