Trade Proposal

Kansas City Gets:

Brandon Marshall

Correll Buckhalter

Detroits 5th Round Pick

Denver Gets:

2nd overall pick from Detroit

Kevin Smith

Detroit Gets:

Jamal Charles

Denvers 2nd round Pick

This seems like if could do a lot for all the teams. I know you KC fans are not going to be keen on losing Charles, but you take Spiller in the 1st and your offense gets pretty nasty with Marshall, Bowe, Spiller and Buckhalter

What do you think?

This is a FanPost and does not necessarily reflect the views of Arrowhead Pride's writers or editors. It does reflect the views of this particular fan though, which is as important as the views of Arrowhead Pride writers or editors.

Haha same here

The studs from the 2010 draft class will be: DT Ndamukong Suh, S Eric Berry, RB C.J. Spiller, RB Jahvid Best, WR Arrelious Benn, WR Golden Tate, WR Mardy Gilyard, OT Charles Brown, CB Kyle Wilson and S Chad Jones

No thanks

personally, i’d rather KC keep the high character guy in Charles and find a WR in the draft and signing a FA RB. KC has too many needs in the trenches to take a RB in the first round.

by bansky on Mar 3, 2010 9:28 AM CST reply actions

not financially smart

we are not paying charles that much, and we would have to give, spiller, marshall big contracts. plus marshall doesn’t fit the “right 53”…..

by Chief of NY on Mar 3, 2010 9:30 AM CST reply actions

Um...NO!!!!

and…did I say NO!!!!? Ok…good…not a snowball’s chance that would ever happen.

Charles is staying in KC no matter what anyone would offer KC for him. I guarantee it.

The future is ours KC Chiefs fans!!!!!

You are SMOKING CRACK!!!!!

1) Haley don’t like Gunnther any more
2) We need more RB’s,
3) And i don’t think we will do any dealings with Denver

JC is untouchable…

by Jclawd on Mar 3, 2010 9:50 AM CST reply actions

I think I was the first one to read this proposal...

…I just really wasn’t sure what to say. Having given it some thought, I’m pretty sure the pitchforks and torch crowd would charge 1 Arrowhead Drive if this happened, or perhaps even just if Charles was dealt anywhere.

As the others anotated, Marshall doesn’t fit our gameplan, “the Right 53”, in fact I think he’s one of those I would have trouble watching the Chiefs if he was on the team. Second, I have no real opinion of Buckhalter, but trading the one solid part of our offense, who is young and has some years left for a 31 year old running back doesn’t sit right for me. Lastly, assuming we don’t follow your suggestion and draft Spiller (who I haven’t seen mentioned anywhere on AP as a possibility due to our other needs), how likely is Denver to poach on what may be our pick with the #2 they get from Denver then?

All that said, thanks for coming over and making some suggestions. Don’t let the guys who are more likely to freak out discourage you. In the end, nobody knows what the GMs in the NFL will pull come FA and the Draft, particularly a guy like Pioli.

by Archyrr on Mar 3, 2010 9:59 AM CST reply actions

Never mind that the trade values aren't anywhere close to correct.

But it’s not Madden. You don’t get to poach one of the best young RB’s in the game right now for a lifetime backup RB, a lazy/basketcase WR, and a 5th rounder.

It’s like us asking for Megatron for Jason Peters, Jon McGraw and a 4th rounder in a three way deal.

How about...

we give you Glenn Dorsey for a swap in the 1st and your 2nd rounder. You get a high profile DT and will be able to get a franchise LT at #5. You get to have your cake and eat it to.

Draft prediction top 10 - 1. Bradford 2. Suh (Chiefs trade up) 3. McCoy 4. Claussen (trade Campbell to Carolina, trade for J Brown) 5. Okung (Detroit) 6. Berry 7. Haden 8. Campbell 9. Davis (Bills trade for Vick) 10. Morgan (Jags draft Tebow in 2nd round) 2/23/09

I think a Lions fan is jealous that KC might have one of the top 2 RBs in 2010.

Tell you what, throw in Brandon Pettigrew, Calvin Johnson, and your 2010 2nd round pick and we might talk then.

in 2010, Charles could very well be the number one or two RB in the NFL. 1120 yards on190 carries, 5.8 yards a carry behind a average to below average line? he only played 15 games and ONLY STARTED 10, and he’s only “very good”? not to mention he’s can also be a receiving threat.

if “very good” only elicits the number two pick in what many consider the best draft since ‘83, i’d hate to see what you would give up for an “excellent” player.

Probably JC’s new nickname. I mean he’s just so fast you don’t get to see him. By the time you do he’s dancing in the endzone.

A few minor changes:

Kansas City gets:

Calvin Johnson
Brandon Marshall
Detroit’s 2nd rounder
Denver’s 2nd rounder

Detroit gets:

Derrick Johnson
Correll Buckhalter
KC’s 2nd 5th rounder

Denver gets:

A swift kick in the nuts
McDaniels gets to smell Cassel’s jock strap

Seems pretty fair to me. ( ;

STAY AWAY FROM HIM!!!

You're a goddamn quarterback! You know what that means? It's the top spot, kid. It's the guy who takes the fall. It's the guy everybody's looking at first - the leader of a team - who will support you when they understand you. Who will break their ribs and their noses and their necks for you, because they believe. 'Cause you make them believe. That's a quarterback.

We Chiefs fans have the fanposts for our news and our posts. I don’t mind peeps from other sites posting here either once in awhile. We have had some really good correspondence back and forth. But this is not a FANPOST! And it’s not Chiefs news. It’s a fanshot!!!

Lastly. I’m sure you love your Lions, but I would never post there. I hate the Lions. I’m a
