I was digging through our archives over the weekend to see what we were talking about heading into the start of offseason programs last year.

What I found? Things were much, much different.

This was the first time we were really introduced to Todd Haley and found out that weight loss and conditioning were a major focal point of his.

As you know, that became a big deal throughout the offseason.

The other big questions involved three key players -- Tony Gonzalez, Larry Johnson and Brian Waters.

• Gonzalez reportedly wanted to be traded. He would eventually get his wish.
• Johnson had recently come out and said he was supportive of the new regime and wanted to be a good soldier. I think we all know how that turned out.
• And then Waters had words with Haley in February and his future was in doubt.

Suffice to say, things are much different this year.
