Hell

I forgot that we have no 6th or 7th round pick this year.

Guess I can stop paying attention to the draft early unless we snag some late picks through a trade.

Nice

Got to love having 8 picks in the first 5 rounds!

"Chiefs will go 9-7 in 2010"!
"Defense will improve to #10-15 in total defense"
"Cassel will throw 23 TDs and 11 INT's"
"Chief games will begin to sell out by week 4"
"The road to respectibility starts and ends in 2010"

Couple of those 5th rounders could the the start of a stockpile

I could see us using them to pick up a few extra picks next year, and then trading a lot of next year’s picks (which is supposed to be a relatively weak draft) for the start of a true NE style stockpile in 2012. Too bad none of us will be around to enjoy the fruits of that in 2013.

The path to Victory is made of losers.

I would love to get out of the money issue.

To me with the 35th pick right in front of AFC opponents, Cleveland, Oakland, San Diego, with us having the next spot would be a great move in my eyes anyway. The next spot at 42, we would be right in front of Miami, Denver, & New England (x2) with us at 50. Lets face it. Our top draft picks play like 2nd & 3rds anyway. The closest player we have gotten to as an impact player in the 1st is Albert. To save the money and be able to have these players signed and in camp at the get go. Now we would have 4 of the top 50 players in the draft. There are quality players in the top 50 minus the first round, this year.

Could the Chiefs trade up for the 2nd pick?

Just wondering if anyone thinks the Chiefs would give up a 4th and 5th rounder or a couple of 5ths for the 2nd pick overall. Then we could pick up SUH, then OKUNG or BERRY, then CODY, then maybe ARRELIOUS BENN or EARL THOMAS if still around in the beginning of the 3rd Round, (not likely). Question is what would it take to get the 2nd pick away from the rebuilding Detroit Lions who have expressed and interest in trading the pick. What can they get for #2?

we want to trade down, not up

imo, no way they chiefs move up. especially when there’s no player that we’re just foaming at the bit to get
