With The 12th Pick In The 2010 Arrowhead Pride Mock Draft, The Miami Dolphins Select...
Sam D with the pick...
Drafting in place of Bill Parcells is like guessing Pioli's next move this year: there are tendencies that can be followed, but in the end nobody knows what his pick will be until it is announced. With that being said, I can also say with 95 percent confidence that this will not be his actual pick on draft day.
It's difficult to project this pick, really, because there's not an area of need that seems more important to fill on the dolphins, with many of the starters being players that will get the job done, but not rise above others in the league talent-wise on the team. Everybody starting could get the job done in most cases, but when you're in a division with the New England Patriots and the New York Jets, it's not easy to win the division. That's why you need somebody with talent at an impact position. Somebody who can change the game at any moment. Somebody you can rely on.
And so friends, with the 12th pick of the 2010 Arrowhead Pride Mock Draft, The Miami Dolphins select...
Jason Pierre-Paul, Defensive End from South Florida.
The main reason behind this pick is the loss of Joey Porter, the team's defensive player with the highest sack total (10) for the 2009 season. That, along with Jason Taylor's age (36 years old) points me in this direction, as Parcells will be drafting an able OLB (last season he collected 45 tackles (16? for loss) and 6? sacks) with great size (6'5" 270 pounds) and great tangibles (4.64 40 yard dash, 19 reps on the bench press). Pierre-Paul will be able to translate to an OLB in the 3-4 defense well, and will add pressure coming from an able defensive line.

hard to believe mclain's still on the board
but tough to argue with this pick. everyone needs a solid pass rusher
This pick...
could potentially be Earl Thomas. They have a huge hold at FS and Bill might think he can find a pass rusher in the 2nd round.
could be Dan Williams, too
* KC now has the best coaching staff in the league
* 9-7 is a real possibility in 2010 IF the Chiefs get 4 new starters
* KC will NOT draft a LT in the first round, and the draft WILL be heavy on defense
i didnt think ferguson was that much of a liability,
and nate allen seemed like a bit of a reach too. This draft is deep at safety, so that could easily be found later.
Draft
So far I think our draft is going really well. This pick makes sense. They will go defense, IMO, and DE is never a bad place to start on the line. I’m not sure what thier NT situation is but if there is a need and Dan Williams and Terrence Cody are still on the board I have to belive they would make that pick.
