Around SBN: Hugh Douglas Admits To Stealing From Jaguars

Trading our 5th round pick to sign Steelers Starting CB William Gay?

Would it really be that bad of a move? I can Almost be 100% sure that we wont draft anyone in the 5th round who can be as productive as William Gay could for us for the next 4 years. The Steelers placed a 5th rd tender on him. We need a starting LCB. This move is a no-brainer. Personally i believe he is a better CB than Brandon Carr. You can say that he had Troy polumalu with him to cover the middle of the field but...1 hopefully we'll be drafting even a bigger ball hawker in Eric Berry and 2....Troy didnt play that many games last year and Gay was still a solid starter. If Crennel feels he isnt 100% sure that he is a better starter then Carr, try them both out at nickel and try them both out at the left. Then place them on the depth chart accordingly.

How do you guys feel about this move?

stat wise

they’re almost the same player, why do you think he would be an upgrade over Carr?

Carr is there every play. period

He just doesn’t get his damn head around. With the coaching he’ll receive this year nobody will be posting things like this anymore

William...

offers the same coverage ability as Carr and can’t tackle. I’ll never forget Adrian Peterson knocking the shit out of this guy and running over him during the Vikings- Steelers game this year. Go look it up on youtube. If Gay was so good the Steelers would have locked him up with a better tender.

1. Suh will fall to us at 5
2. McClain will fall to us at 2a
3. The Chiefs will trade DJ and keep Dorsey

Give Carr a chance

Hes played with special teamers as safeties……..the kids good and wouldnt cost us anything…….If gay was so good steelers would have placed a higher tender on him

What about D.Washington

We have him and it was said that if he would have waited to come out in the draft, he would have went 1st round this year. We have lots of young guys on this team people just give them a chance with better coach’s.

Misread, so voted wrong.

For a second there, thought it said the 5th pick, so said “keep the pick”.

After reading it again, I be find with using a 5th round pick on him.

Washington would be an ok safety, but better nicke

If you watched this kid at all in college you would see his potential. He has huge upside with the athletic ability to back it up. Give him time… One thing I noticed about this site, everyone is too quick to jump the gun witht hese rookies… The NFL isnt a b%$@h league, it is fast, strong and super physical. These playbooks arent necessarily easy either…. T I M E… geez

Winning isnt a matter of life and death, its more important than that.

yes i agree

when i first saw him i thought about flowers same type of player thats why i dont understand why he did not get the start with flowers I wonder if it had anything to do with his late start in camp due to his graduaton date
