Whitlock contradicts himself again

A few weeks ago I posted one contradiction he made this offseason. And now he pulls this.

Star-divide

Whitlock after Weis and Crennel signed:

Romeo "Tito" Crennel, the defensive coordinator, joins Pioli, Charlie Weis, Matt Cassel, Mike Vrabel and ex-Pats to be named later in what appears to be a lame attempt at recreating the New England Dynasty.

Let me apologize for being unimpressed with this lineup.

Whitlock last night:

The coaching additions of Charlie Weis and Romeo Crennel will enhance the attitude of the team. Weis and Crennel can’t really be questioned as coordinators.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but in the first statement he says he's unimpressed with Weis and Crennel. If you go on to read the article he pretty much undermines their abilities as coordinators.

And now a few months later they can't be questioned?

I actually LIKE Jason. I'm a big fan. But this should embarrass him.

This is a FanPost and does not necessarily reflect the views of Arrowhead Pride's writers or editors. It does reflect the views of this particular fan though, which is as important as the views of Arrowhead Pride writers or editors.

Its a gimmick

He writes provacotive material to get a buzz. And frankley, it works.

1. Suh will fall to us at 5
2. McClain will fall to us at 2a
3. The Chiefs will trade DJ and keep Dorsey

Totally. He’s exactly the same as HHH or Jericho or Edge going from heel to face to heel to face, etc., etc. It’s all fake, an act. He doesn’t believe anything he himself says, so why should anyone else?

It's not a gimmick

He’s talking out of both sides of his mouth. He likes Ryan Lilja so suddenly Weis and Crennel are part of a winning equation.

What Whit is doing...

is his job…Contradictions and controversey is what Whitlock is paid for.

the first quote sounds like he's been smoking those funny cigs

the second is after he came back to his senses…if he ever had any to begin with.

I am not a big Whitlock fan...

But I think its because Im too close to the situation… I was listening to a Bill Simmons podcast and he basically called Whitlock the greatest… So it makes me think that maybe when it comes to Whitlock posts that I cant see the forest from the trees. Whitlocks job isn’t to write good articles about the Chiefs (the Star has other writers for that). Whitlocks job is to get readers to read by using hyperbole to his advantage… Now I still do not agree with most of the shit he says, but he is really good at what he does.

I really wish Whitlock would use his abilities and influence to shed some light on the debacle going on across the parking lot with the Royals.

He's just a idiot.

Any writer can appeal to everyone when they have 100 opinions on something. Once Pioli started working his FA magic, somehow that affected his views of our coordinators. Maybe its because players want to play for them.

Hi. My big board for KC's first rounder is:
1. Russell Okung, OT
2. Eric Berry, S
3. Rolondo McClain, ILB
4. Brian Bulaga, OT
5. Dan Williams, NT

That really chaps my hide.

The Chiefs will see a return to respectability in 2010, emerging as the front runner in the AFC West! ....And I'll quantify that however I choose. Ahem.

I've said it before...

Whitlock read my post “Why? I’ll tell you why!”

Apparently over the top optimism is contagious.

ha

Yeah, Adobe After Effects has distracted me. I thought I had it done…and now I want to do all these other things.

Don’t worry, it’s getting there.

Whitlock does a great job at his job. You have to give the man that.

His job is to create controversy, and he excels at it. Even if he does contradict himself in every single article in so many different ways.

Is Jason Whit-less an @$$h@t?

Yes!

Do I agree with the cr@p that comes outta his mouth?

Nope

Does that stop AP from posting a TON of comments every time his name is dropped on this website?

I would say No.

For better or worse Whit-less gets people talking…he stirs the pot so to speak. That is what he gets paid to do (and he does it VERY well).

so, Divine ... by your comment ...
Do I agree with the cr@p that comes outta his mouth?
Nope

I take it that when Whitlock did that column praising Pioli you didn’t agree with that either … is that what you’re saying?
