AP March Madness Challenge (UPDATED)

Okay AP, I know this is a site for our beloved Chiefs, but who doesn't love March Madness. Since the tournament has fallen during my spring break this year I don't have my normal teacher's office pool going on and I'm going through withdrawl. So I created a group on Yahoo's free Tourney Pic'Em. The group is called "AP March Madness". It's a free public group so anyone can join. You just log on to Yahoo. Go to the Sports section and click on the Tourney Pic'Em. Select Join a Group. Then find the "AP March Madness" group. Technically since its free anyone could join the group (non AP members) but most of the groups are like "Kansas Fans" or "Duke Fans" so I'm guessing the group will mostly just be us APers. If you are willing to put up with a few promotional offers you can even have your bracket entered to win $1 million, but that's optional. There isn't a prize for the group other then bragging rights. I was thinking the winner might want to put something in their sig line to rub their dominance in everyone's faces. My only other request would be put your AP profile name in the name of your bracket so we know who you are. So let's see what Chief fan has the best college hoop knowledge.

START OF TOURNAMENT UPDATE:

We have 30 brackets in our AP group (31 joined, but one person didn't get their bracket filled out). After looking over all 30 entries KU is the runaway pick. Of the 30 brackets, 27 have KU in the Final Four and 20 people have KU winning the whole thing. Other popular Final Four picks include Kentucky, Kansas St., and West Virginia. The teams picked to win it all include:

KU: 20

Kentucky: 4

West Virginia: 3

Villanova: 2

Duke: 1

With SO many people picking KU, it makes the early rounds really important. I'll do a new post with the current standings on Monday after the first two rounds are in the books. Good luck to all.

I'm in. I dont see many big upsets this year.

And by big, I mean 12 over 5, not 9 over 8! 3 number 1 seeds will make the final 4. If I win the million dollars, everyone in the group gets season tickets to the Chiefs this year!

Not a March Madness guy… Might watch since the Big 12 might do some damage…but not really about it.

I have a feeling that 2010 will be a defining year for the Kansas City Chiefs. Do we become the 2001 Patriots or footballs version of the royals??

Its easy

the bigger number next to the name means its the better team (16>1). 90% of the time the better team wins, so pick a lof of the big numbers.

lower seeds (worse teams) are BIGGER numbers
better seeds (better teams) are LOWER numbers

a number 1 seed is better than a number 16 seed …

You should just have to click on the logo of the team you want to win the finals and it will put it in the winners spot.

okay i have cerebral palsy arthris and chronic fatigue as well i have a great life and loveing folks some days are better than other days i got a make-a-wish in 2001 and saw my favorite team the broncos it was the trip of a lifetime i wish everyone couild have gotten to enjoy that with me i know some of u hate the broncos and that okay but i bleed organ and bule for my mnr fans but i bleed orange and blue denver will rise again resident broncos fan for every blog resident broncos for stampede bule thanks shvd98z24
