Former Chiefs WR Will Franklin Back In Football
The Kansas City Chiefs spent a fourth round pick on WR Will Franklin back in the 2008 draft. He made it through one season before the regime change caught him and he hit the waiver.
After quick stints with the Lions and Raiders, Franklin is back in football, according to the Winnipeg Free Press (via Arrowheadlines)
THE Winnipeg Blue Bombers continue to flesh out their training camp roster, adding a pair of imports in wide receiver Will Franklin and linebacker SaMario Houston on Monday.
Franklin was drafted by the Kansas City Chiefs in the fourth round of the 2008 NFL draft and played in 13 games with the Chiefs that season making seven catches for 83 yards.
Franklin has had quite the road.
To go from a main piece in one of college football's best offenses, to mid-round pick, to nobody on the roster, to released, to Detroit, Oakland and now Winnipeg.

Will Franklin
Further proof that good size and excellent speed doesn’t necessarily translate to a very good football player. I had big expectations for that guy when we drafted him.
Franklin
He was such a better draft choice than Anthony Collins. I’m so happy we neglected our line to get one season of subpar special teams play from Franklin.

Now you know this don’t look natural Coach. now you know it don’t… I look like I just jacked off an elephant.
The football’s like a one-man cold to Clifford Franklin. Clifford Franklin’s the only man catchin’ it, Clifford Franklin’s the only man comin’ down wid it.

Remember how happy he was to leave?
