Matt Cassel's Future Son Has A Scholarship Waiting At USC
A few weeks back, USC caused a minor stir around the football world when it was reported they had offered a 13-year old quarterback a scholarship. Of course it was just a verbal agreement and no paperwork would be signed for about five years but interesting nonetheless.
USC assistant coach Ed Orgeron saw Matt Cassel last week (here's photographic evidence) and took to his Twitter account to make sure he knows where his son is going to school.
[I[ told [M}att [C]assel that as soon as he and his beautiful wife had a son, [I] would offer him a scholarship.
Somehow, I'm not sure even kidding around about that is such a good idea for Ed Orgeron.

Ed...
You want another all pro QB to sit the bench behind Tom Brady’s son who will play at USC too. Matt Leinart and Carson Palmers sons will also play there….
Poor Cassel.

yeah talk about a lawsuit waiting to happen...
That’s a contract the last time I checked. Yeah USC may claim the statute of frauds but that will be a tough one to wriggle out of.
An oral contract has to be executable within a year's time frame

lol
wonder if he ripped his shirt off before he told them that? Ed Oregon is a lunatic.
Yuck
USC’s athletics as a whole disgust me. What a load of bullshit talking about giving their already questionable “scholarships” to a kid who’s nads probably haven’t even dropped. USC is starting to sound more like a malaysian sweatshop that a respectable athletics dept
I don't like USC either...
But let’s calm down about this one. It’s a joke, Matt knows it, and everyone else knows it.
Orgeron has some issues, so PK’s probably right he shouldn’t make the joke, but it’s probably ok for everyone to lighten up a bit.
