Around SBN: Jeremy Lin Sets Assist High In Easy Win Over Sacramento

Featured Chief: Brandon Carr

via i646.photobucket.com

Height: 6ft

Weight: 207lbs

Position: CB

Age: 23

College: Grand Valley State

Drafted by the Kansas City Chiefs in the 5th round (140th overall) in 2008.

2008: It was his rookie year in which he started all 16 games.  He had 77 total tackles, 2 interceptions, 6 passes defensed, and 2 fumble recoveries.

2009: He started all 16 games.  He had 62 total tackles, 1 interception, 19 passes defensed, and 1 forced fumble with 2 fumble recoveries.

He has a lot of potential as we can see by the stats.  He has decent speed but lacks to find the football in jump situations.  If he has work with finding the ball I think he can be an elite CB in this league.

never seen that one

Very good video. I think he is still young but will be highly successful for us. We have two very good young corners…now we just need a good safety..hmm. lol

Carr is a good #2

with D-Line help and a pass rush (crossing my fingers) Carr should only improve. The addition of Berry, we could have one of the dominant secondaries in the league !!!!!

Chiefs are going to surprise alot of people in 2010 !!!!

We'll see how they coach him up.

Will he be gettin’ his head around? Will they TRUST him to single-up on a down-to-down basis? Will he repay such trust with consistent high marks? I think he has the toolkit. Two years away from bein’ near-ruint by wrong-headed coaching, is he ready to come into his own on a very good D? I’m pretty hopeful, but I’m one to keep reachin’ to the top shelf for DB until I see the secondary assert more dominance than I’ve seen for years.

total tackles were down

but his passes defensed is up, which means teams will have to take notice.

Regardless of who the Chiefs pick at #5 overall, Whitlock will call it the worst pick in the history of the Chiefs. Heres to hoping that #5 pick runs Whitlock out of town.....

Passes defended was up because everyone was picking on him.

I think he has the ability but would not be surprised if they took someone and made him a nickle.

Frankly, I'd like to see Carr step it up and KC add one more bigger, faster CB, to match up better with the WRs...

… in this division and around the league. I can think of a number of situations where I’d want FLOWERS to be the 1st guy to get his hands on a quick, small slot receiver, and blowin’ up any sneaky stuff the opposition might try in tight, with a pair of big corners up in press coverage against big ‘n’ talls…

I think that..

Carr has a lot more talent than Washington. I think that with coaching and some work Washington can be solid but not elite. Carr has the potential to be elite.
