ESPN Insider
espn insider is reporting that the rams and chiefs are close to a deal sending dorsey to stl for adam carriker and the 33rd overall pick. i myself think dorsey is awsome and a perfect fit for the chiefs but thats a way fair trade specially if sue falls back to 5 which is very possible since det is prolly gonna take a LT tampa is spouse to be after mccoy now way the skins take a DE

I'm with you on this and how accurate is ESPN insider?
I would guess there have been a lot of teams trading general proposals about trades and players, etc.

If it was a real story, it would be on TV.
Insider is just for gossip.
Maybe there has been a proposal or something, but that would be a pretty big deal if it were for real and I don’t think ESPN would be hiding in under Insider.
Not sure Suh will fall to 5 even if Rams take Bradford...
However, I wouldn’t be opposed to this deal. Carriker would be a better fit as a DE in a 3-4 anyways plus getting another 2nd round pick wouldn’t be a bad thing in this draft and Alex MaGee might get on the field more if this were the case.
Alex
Mr.MaGee seem do do a preyyt good jod to be last year for him been a new kid along with T-Jax i whould not mind only if we had smebody that could fill his Glenn shoes 3 picks in the 2 round sounds like i a team on a huge come up we can go NT for sure WR and OL and all 3 can come from day 1 and play love it
~Im a star n the making just ask about me im soon to be da Chiefs 1st round pick~
Looking at Carriker
on nfl.com he’s listed at 6’6, 296 lbs…an IDEAL size for a DE in a 3-4. In comparison, Tyson Jackson is listed at 6’4, 296 lbs. Maybe he would fit our new scheme better than Dorsey. Hmm, I might like this idea.
so, pure speculation
* KC now has the best coaching staff in the league
* 9-7 is a real possibility in 2010 IF the Chiefs get 4 new starters
* keep Albert at LT, upgrade the positions that NEED upgrading.C, RG, NT, S, LB

Unless Joel Reports It
I don’t believe it :)

Lol seriously?
Why would this poster use the words “close to a deal”? If you read that article it’s stems from a question posed by a reader. Cmon poster…

If this trade was actually on the table.
I dont think it would be speculation because I dont know how Pioli wouldnt pull the trigger on it.
"Success is never ending, failure is never final."
If this has any truth....
I think this would be an excellent deal. We would be lucky to get a second alone for Glenn Dorsey but to also get a former first round DE would be awesome!
i saw this on espn.com...
it was an email question to one of the bloggers…

Carriker has had pretty major injury issues
As I recall he’s had at least one major shoulder surgery, maybe two, and has missed a ton of time since he came into the league. I can see where the Rams would want to move him and may be having major trouble getting any kind of value in return. While Carriker might be a better fit for 3-4 DE in theory— I guess based on his height— I don’t see at all that he will ever have Dorsey’s quickness and explosiveness.
So while I agree that Dorsey’s not ideal as an end for the Chiefs, and not really suited for NT either, I’d have to think long and hard about trading him away for someone with Carriker’s injury history. Yeah, the Rams’ pick in round two is a ‘quasi-first-rounder’ but I still think Dorsey, in the right situation, has Pro Bowl potential.
Also, with the draft being pretty deep in DT’s this year, why couldn’t the Rams take QB in the first round and still get a decent DT prospect at the start of round 2?
Do it
Then send DJ and D Morgan to Detriot for their 2nd and swap first. Sign ILB Andre Davis

No way you trade Dorsey. He’s gonna be a big part of this defense soon.

No...
way Detroit takes that deal anyway.
1. Suh will fall to us at 5
2. McClain will fall to us at 2a
3. The Chiefs will trade DJ and Dorsey

I would rather trade DJ to the Rams for their 2nd rounder.
