Possible late round or UDFA Safety

Hey all, I hate to be a homer, but the university I attend, Utah State Universiy, held their pro day yesterday, and one player that may be intriguing for the Chiefs shined.  James Brindley, a safety, was a huge playmaker on the defense for us.  He averaged 7.8 tackles per game (this despite missing two games all together, and missing parts of two others), he also had nine passes defended (6 breakups, 3 interceptions).

His pro day numbers are after the jump.

Star-divide

Brindley ran a 4.45 forty, had a 37-inch vertical jump, and I hear he did well in the other events as well but I have been unable to find any official numbers. His size is a little against him though, as he is only 5' 11" and 189 lbs.

Another possible late round or UDFA is Brennan McFadden, who started at center, but could play any offensive line position (at least for USU).  He is 6' 2" and 294 lbs.  He had the best showing of the USU players on the bench press as he lifted the 225 lbs a total of 22 times.

Unfortunately I have no idea what scouts were actually in attendance.

Sounds good..

Berry will need a solid back up for that 1 play he sits out per game. Good thinking… REC!

Thanks for the scouting report!

* KC now has the best coaching staff in the league
* 9-7 is a real possibility in 2010 IF the Chiefs get 4 new starters
* keep Albert at LT, upgrade the positions that NEED upgrading.C, RG, NT, S, LB

I hear good things about Utah St

in football and basketball. When Pac-10 takes Utah or BYU from my beloved Mountain West Conference, hom eo fthe UNLV Running Rebels, We will need to look for a replacement and Utah St could be it. Big 12 may try and snag TCU also. Mountain west needs to keep its eyes open for small gems like Utah st.

6'2 294lb Safety?

Maybe we could use him at Center instead…

Don't forget about Rashard Langford...

Haley was quick to snatch him up when he ended up on Philly’s practice squad. There is a reason the Chiefs picked him up.

Forgot all about that

I think they’re trying to hide this guy in a closet
