Four Teams Interested In Jason Taylor
Last year around this time there were rumors floating around that the Kansas City Chiefs might be interested in unrestricted free agent Jason Taylor. That's all they were at the time -- rumors -- and Taylor ended up re-signing with the Miami Dolphins.
This time around, Taylor is once again a free agent and there are a handful of teams showing interest, according to Jeff Darlington of the Miami-Herald.
Quick update on Jason Taylor: I'm told he's taking his time w/ FA because there's no salary cap. Four teams are interested, including Miami.
So three teams are interested in his services. Why might the Chiefs be interested?
I hate to make this connection again but it's the Patriots.
Bill Belichick has repeatedly said he admires Taylor's abilities so, with Scott Pioli in New England much of the same time, you've gotta wonder if he's interested in Taylor as well. Add that to the fact that Bill Parcells is the one who re-signed him last year.
There's no evidence to suggest they are interested but it sure seems like they would be.

HAHA
Yeah or you guys could just draft a edge rusher. It is considered a premium position; and its not exactly well represented on your roster.
Thats a solid suggestion
And in no way considered a slight to your squad. So you could refute it, or ignore it.
eh?
When did you start speaking Canadian?

Price
If you can get him for a good price like the Jones deal do it for 1 year and a 2nd club option. If not pass on him. I would like to see Taylor on one side and Hali on the other going after the QB

NO TO Jason Taylor....
get our own LB damnit, stop the FA stuff and focus on the draft!
Winning isnt a matter of life and death, its more important than that.
What?
You act like you can’t sign free agents and have a good draft….
You can do both….as a matter of fact this is how we will make the playoffs….by signing key FA and drafting quality players.

there are any Free Agents out there that I would want to sign right now… except maybe Davis… Old vet signings are fewa nd far between as far as worth it, at least to me, so BACK OFF MATT! or ill L.J your ass in the club!

He'll stay in Miami unless he gets an insane offer somewhere else
Last year he decided to go back to Miami because his family is settled there. I’m not sure why that would have changed now…Pioli isn’t going to overpay for him anyway.
Predictions:
This year will be better
I want Andra Davis now
I just read that he was reased today by the Donkeys…..
I read the awesome piece on him at Mile High Report….read this and he sounds like a great addition.

I'm not as adamant about bringing in Taylor as I was last offseason
Mostly because we now know for sure that Tamba can be productive in the 34 defense. This was an unknown last offseason.
I don’t really see a place for Taylor on this team. I do think he would be a good fit in New England though. Of course, Pioli may disagree.
No Thanks!

JOEY PORTER vs. JASON TAYLOR
Can’t figure out why Joey Porter’s name hasn’t come up anywhere in conjuntion to the Chiefs and free agency. He’s got one heck of a motor and has 17.5 sacks over the last two seasons as opposed to Jason Taylors 10. I don’t see how the now 35 year old Taylor, who’s sack total will likely drop this year, would be an upgrade. I think Porter would make a much more sensible addition for the Chiefs, if he’s not a Cardinal in the making already.
