Around SBN: NHL Trade Rumors: Do You Make A Move For Rick Nash?

Romeo leaving already?

I heard a rumor that with George Edwards accepting the DC job in Buffalo, Urban Meyer is persuing Romeo Crennel for the Gators' DC job. Anyone know if there is fire to accompany this smoke?

had alot of good reports that were covered here and on the mothership. I think he is in KC to stay.

Trying to track something down

A coworker who follows the SEC mentioned it… like I said it was a rumor I heard and I have found that the folks on this site are almost as in touch as the Adam Schefters of the world… speaking of which someone should tweet Schefter, he is usually pretty good about responding to this kind of stuff..

I highly doubt it, but I'm not in the know.

On another issue altogether, that’s an awesome avatar pic Fairmont.

I really wanted to go to Stanford :)

And I am sure he is staying but you never know in the crazy world of professional coaching…especially this offseason

you do realize

that the news services pick up headlines from here. Just do a search for “Romeo Crennel” on google news and you’ll see this headline already.

This is how rumors start and snowball out of control.

I’m not saying Al Davis is a blood sucking vampire, but isn’t it odd how he never denies it!

Dude...
A coworker who follows the SEC mentioned it… like I said it was a rumor I heard

Really? I think…it’s best to not float these as fanshots, without at the very least some source other than ‘some guy I work with.’

That’s just my opinion, though.

Re-fucking-lax everybody.

Like I said, it was mentioned in conversation, it is not my job to check sources and do due diligence, I have a job, this is an outlet for bullshitting about the Chiefs, aside from the Thormans and Matt Conner, anyone who posts on this blog and considers themselves a journalist is either delusional or stupid. Who thought Kiffin was taking the job at USCat the end of the season? Who thought Carrol was leaving USC? Who would have dreamed Edwards would leave the Florida staff 1 MONTH after he was hired?

I dont consider what you said to be accurate, at least in my case...
this is an outlet for bullshitting about the Chiefs

If I wanted to “bullshit” about the Chiefs, I’d actually go to a sports bar, get drunk and argue with idiots, get in a fight and spend time in jail. Next day I’d be looking for a new job.

I hope what you meant to say is, this is an outlet for providing information about our favorite NFl team, that we may or may not get to see elsewhere.

As far as not being your job to check sources or do due diligence, I guess that is your choice. But most of us who do post, do actually attempt to check our sources and provide the most accurate information we can obtain….or just not post at all. :)

Winning begins with Attitude - Haley and Pioli will be winners in KC!

I'll forever be a Chiefs fan! Only God himself could take that away from me, but when I get to my great reward, I'll rejoin two bigger fans, my Mom and Dad.

Agree on the "bullshitting" point.

I took his post as a question though, which got answered, if somewhat abusively.

Unfortunately I don't have that luxury

I am serving in the Air Force in Southern Mississippi surrounded by Saints fans. So yes, this is the only outlet I have to “bullshit” about the Chiefs. Now yes it is a terrific source for Chiefs news and iinformation but the bottom line is this site is many things to many different people and to be dismissive of somebody just because their content is not exactly up your alley is wrong and goes against the whole spirit of the SBNation blogs.

I'd say there was quite a bit of bullshitting that goes on in this community

Yea, there’s great discussions, commentary, information flowing…

But there’s plenty bullshitting done in every open thread that I’ve ever been in.

I think there's a positive side to this guys, relax.

Basically, the guy heard his coworker said say something and it didn’t make sense, so he followed it up. What did he do? Check ESPN, NFL.com, PFT, other random football website? No, he came to AP, trusting in it’s members knowledge, and in some cases connections. As somebody mentions every once in a while, AP has becoming the source for Chief’s news.

Sorry you had to take the grief fairmont, we’re a little grumpy in the offseason.

confirmed 'NO'

http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2010/02/11/cardinals-lose-defensive-backs-coach-to-florida/

* KC now has the best coaching staff in the league
* Pioli will make at least one trade in the offseason, and 2 trades during the draft
* I'd prefer "lightning and lightning" as opposed to "lightning and thunder" when it comes to RBs
* 9-7 is a real possibility in 2010 IF the Chiefs get 4 new starters
