Dez Bryant, DBowe and Brandon Marshall!
This is just sheer speculation. I was researching a little about Pioli and Haley and Weis etc. One thing I found out on AP was that Pioli has never drafted a receiver with his first pick. So that may leave Dez out. It may not. Haley doesn't know how to operate without a pair of elite receivers at his disposal. That being said. I would not be totally shocked if they made Brandon Marshall our version of Randy Moss. Pay him what he wants. Put conditions in his contract that restrict his temper tantrums. And saddle him up. Trade Bowe to Denver for Brandon, keep chambers and draft Dez. Behind Charles running game we would have an elite offense immediately. It's fun to dream.

Nice dream..
but I think its about as likely as my dream with Carrie Underwood and Megan Fox…I will leave out the details of that one, but lets just say its a long shot.
There was a great post a few days ago that convinced me that we just have to upgrade defense and bring the D back to elite status before upgrading the offense too much. If our first pick is on offense, it will be on the OL. Your point is very valid about upgrading to 2 elite WRs through FA though. That is probably the way Pioli will go. Resign Chambers and try to find another aging veteran or an overlooked youngster that might provide a year or two of quality play while the defense is finished.

Texas Chief made a great argument here.

I agree cigars. I don't think they have any choice this year.
This year is SOOO deep on defense. This is THE year to snag up a legit defense in ONE draft. So I think they HAVE to go defense this year anyway for that reason. But wow! We do have to get a receiver or two in here.
There will always be some disgruntled, aged, or overlooked
FA reciever out there to get on the cheap. Sign them to a one year contract and let them know that this is their shot to get back into the league, prove they can still play at an elite level, and possibly pick up a big paycheck next year with some other sucker.

I'm over that shit cigars. No way. I am over the peterson reign of terror. No more
outdated overage washed up receivers. Let’s go big time. Let’s get it done.
I am only talking about this year,
not a permanent strategy change. We can agree we need one more stud WR. Personally, I would like to see one of the current players on the roster step up and become a superstar, but that appears unlikely. This is nothing more than a temporary band-aid. We spend this years top picks topping out the D and OL and use a later pick on a PR/KR specialist that might have a shot as a #3 reciever. That should give us a 6-10 win season next year and put us in a prime position to grab a stud WR out of the draft next year, as well as fill any more glaring holes that may come up in the course of the season.

By signing a guy like
Marshall long term, you will be trading petersons “reign of terror” into a Snyder-esque nightmare.

I don't think I'd want to trade Bowe for Marshall
But Pioli has only had one draft as a GM, you really don’t have a large sample size to go by.
So full of sh*t that toilet bowls have to wipe.
True saint. but remember what they did with Randy Moss. He also was a huge problem child until arriving in NE.
The Raiders threw him away because he was too much trouble even for them. If the Raiders are willing to let you go because of your attitude, your a problem child. I see Pioli as a guy willing to work with a young attitude like BM’s. IF the conditions were laid out properly, it could happen. It’s not impossible. No one saw Moss going to NE either.
I was a little different
Moss going to NE, who was a proven winner, whereas the Chiefs are coming off a 4-12 season…Plus, who says that Marshall will get 100 balls thrown to him? With Charles running as well as he is, KC looks like a run-first offense, and Marshall would be double-teamed like mad. That is a recipe for disaster with a player like him.
Patience is truly a virtue, good things will happen soon
