Chiefs Have 100/1 Odds For 2011 Super Bowl
If you make a habit of listening to the oddsmakers, then don't book a trip to Dallas, Texas, site of Super Bowl 2011.
According to Bodog.com, the Kansas City Chiefs are 100/1 longshots to make the Super Bowl.
Topping the list is the Colts, who hold 13/2 odds. They're followed by fellow AFC West team the Chargers at 8/1.
The team that just proved they could win it all last night? 10/1. Ouch, Saints.
I guess a lot changes in one night. The Patriots are also at 10/1. Joined by the Chiefs at 100/1, are the Bills, Lions, Browns, Chiefs, Bucs, Rams and Raiders.
The full list is after the jump.

The Chargers don’t win playoff games. Get used to it. We certainly have had to.

That's funny I thought all teams had a 1 in 32 chance of winning the Super Bowl.
The question is not how far. The question is, do you possess the constitution, the depth of faith, to go as far is as needed?
I'll be happy if the Chiefs take our division this year. That would be a good start.
Kick some serious Donkeys, Dolts and Faiders ass this season would be awesome.

Apparently Vegas is unaware of how super bowl losing teams traditionally fair in the season following a SB loss

Cardinals were
100/1 the year they went to the superbowl, and I would have made a boatload of money if they had actually won
100:1 seems overly generous
We may have a chance with Weis and Romeo here now, but they still have to deal with our lack of talent across the board. Plus, there will be far fewer quality FAs this year if the CBA doesn’t get renewed; giving us fewer opportunities to fill the holes.
100:1?
Where can I lay down a bet for $100 for that? I’ll damn sure take those odds. Seriously.

Vegas.
However if you have $100 and you are looking for more instant gratification, I’d suggest you find a girl who name ends with an “i”

Always A Good Rule Of Thumb
But the (admittedly slight) potential of turning $100 into $10,000 while also supporting my team holds a lot more appeal for me. :)

Yeah
I’m still kicking myself for not laying money down that Week 17 a few seasons ago when we had to beat JAX, and DEN, CIN, and TEN all had to lose, at home, in order for us to make the playoffs. I think they were offering 30:1 odds

I Remember That Weekend Fondly
That was the best Broncos game I ever watched. Sadly, it didn’t do much for the Chiefs except add one more game to their schedule.

Yeah
and lower our draft picks a few months later. But seeing the Donkeys lose to the hapless 49ers, in Denver, when all they had to do to make the playoffs was TIE, made it all worth it =)

interesting...
…that these sportsbooks do this already. Free agency and the draft are still 3 months from completion. In theory we could have Boldin, Wilfork, McCain, etc.
I did lay $10 on us last yr at 85/1. I think the jets were that team this yr with worst odds but best success.
