Tracy Porter
Super Bowl Champion Tracy Porter is a …

Hoosier!!
All I wanted want to see during the Super Bowl was a Pick Six by my boy Tracy Porter!!! :-)
I wanted the Chiefs to draft this guy in the 2nd round... I like our pick of Brandon Flowers instead, but come on... Porter is a stud. Don't you think he looks good in Red? Too bad it's not Chief Red! You can not say that DB's are not worth a Top 5 pick (Eric Berry)... You got a good secondary, you can neutralize a Hall of Fame QB.
Go Hoosiers!!!

Flowers or Carr would take that pass to the barn too....
….They had been sitting on that all game. The Saints let Manning hit slant over slant over slant and he got comfortable, then they dialed up a big blitz and Manning force the ball to Wayne. Result pick 6. Watch the replay, Porter breaks on that ball without hesitation, he KNEW that pass was coming. With the same play call, Flowers or Carr take that one home.
But yes Tracy Porter looks like a good young CB.
The question is not how far. The question is, do you possess the constitution, the depth of faith, to go as far is as needed?
Correction
Flowers and Porter would… Carr wouldn’t have made that jump on the ball.
Man crush on Eric Berry.
No he would have because they KNEW that pass was coming....
…It was a GREAT play call and Porter played his role. I’m not taking anything away from Porter’s play but it was a great call at the perfect time.

That, and
Peyton NEVER took his eyes off of Reggie Wayne from the time he got the snap…it’s not like Peyton to make that kind of mistake.
He had no choice, the Saints D tricked him and he just reacted....
…9.5 times out of 10 Peyton makes teams pay for that but in that play he was just out thought…. er…. thunked…. er….. thinked.

My point is
that Carr wouldn’t have known….
that’s what seperates Flowers from Carr… Flowers knows.
Man crush on Eric Berry.
I like our CBs
I am just saying we would have been good getting Porter too and he has shown that he is a big time player in big time games. Plus he’s a Hoosier like myself.
Man crush on Eric Berry.
Awesome
Never thought I’d see a Cat’s Cradle reference on AP.

Not at all!
Vonnegut beats the everliving hell out of the crappy paperback thriller writers whose garbage fills up airport bookstore shelves these days. He was awesome, and funny! My wife was shocked that my reaction to a recently-released compilation of Vonnegut (Look at the Birdie) was much more excitable than my reaction to the Blu-Ray home theater with Netflix streaming. Look at the Birdie is a series of short stories that had not previously been published in book form because Vonnegut found them to be inadequate by his standards, but unlike anything by Michael Crichton, I’d still rather read this than watch a Seinfeld re-run I’ve seen fifty times.

I know Vonnegut's daughter.

Tracy Porter = Larry Brown.
Larry Brown won a SB MVP for catching 2 balls thrown right to him and got a fat new contract.
Tracy Porter sealed 2 games by catching balls thrown right to him by Favre and Manning.
I’ll take Brandon Flowers thanks

Manning didn't throw it right to him...
Porter made a great (and very risky) jump on the ball and beat Wayne to the spot.
All Peyton did was telegraph where he was going with the ball. Porter beat the all-pro receiver and made a phenomenal play.

The play was crazy nonetheless.
I’d love to see that exact play against Flowers actually. One of the things that drove me nuts this year was the 10-yard bubble we seemed to play with. That’s pretty much what happened this time, at least to my eyes. Porter was 10 yards off the line, Wayne turned around at 8-9, and then Porter literally just stepped up in between. You could see it as soon as Wayne stopped.
And that's the problem right there
Wayne shorted his route, for whatever reason. He was definitely supposed to flash in front of the CB, and based on where Porter was positioned Wayne should have known he was taking that angle.
Consider Manning had picked them apart pretty good to the tune of 335 yards, were both Manning and Wayne suffereing from overconfidence or what?

Wayne struggled yesterday, no question.
He probably should have caught that 4th down attempt with a minute or so left in the game. I know there was alot of traffic, but the ball did hit him in the hands.

oops...
You haven’t watched him before. He’s been a stud all year round and was a stud at Indiana.
I like having Flowers… but when it was the draft I wanted Porter over Flowers in Round 2 b/c I was more familiar with him and liked his way of playing. He was good on Special Teams too at IU.
Man crush on Eric Berry.
I think it will be kinda bitter sweet
When we make the SB….way more sweet but I just can’t stand the media coverage of big games….they act like they know everything!
Listening to some idiot with a headset on talk about OUR Chiefa would make me wanna jump through the tv and do bad things.
Plus all the people jumping on the Chiefs wagon when they make it like everyone is doing the Saints now….
But I will sacrifice my pet peeves to see Haley and the Chiefa hoist that trophy in the air…

Media coverage.
I might actually prefer the know it alls over the guys we got this year. It’s painful to listen to them when they don’t bother to know anything about the team, and half the time are only reading the stats put up on the screen. I was utterly sick of them stumbling over trying to identify our players, usually getting them wrong. “Chiefs’ cornerback…uhhh, Maurice Leggett(random pick) strips the ball for a fumble.”, when it was actually Flowers and MoLegg was on IR. The did that to JC several times too before he really took off. At least the big time guys bother to learn (or more likely pay people to put that stuff together for them).
I think a lot of the Saints bandwagon jumping is at least partly due to sympathy for the hell that city has been through the last few years.
People down there are still living in FEMA trailers.
I was pulling for them due to my seething hatred of Peyton Manning. Watching Porter return that TD will never get old.

yeah i felt bad about it and all but...
I still was in the minority rooting for the Colts last night. I care very little for either team, but I really think Peyton has what it takes to become the best QB ever. With a win last night he would have been in the discussion, but it was nice to see something good happen to New Orleans for once.
Chiefs not Chiefa lol

Confirms
That the Chiefs need to add another corner. I wouldn’t mind having Joe Hadan or Patrick Robinson. A corner just won the Super Bowl for his team, by picking off the end all be all of QBs!!
Props to DC Greg Williams of KC area.
