Chiefs Check Out A Pair Of Receivers At NFL Combine
At the NFL Combine in Indianapolis, NFL teams -- usually compromised of some of the top leadership in the program along with scouts and coaches -- get the opportunity to interview some of the available prospects. At the very least, it shows an interest by the organization to get to know the player better.
According to Chris Steuber of Scout.com, the Chiefs interviewed a pair of receivers.
First, SMU's Emanuel Sanders. He's a projected as a late round draft pick or even undrafted free agent. He's a receiver/kick returner which is something to keep in mind.
He comes in at 5'11', 186 pounds.
Steuber also reports Minnesota WR Eric Decker named the Chiefs as one of the teams that's shown an interest. Decker is 6'3", 217 pounds and projected to go in the mid-rounds. He's not participating in all the Combine drills because of an injury that sidelined him during the season.
.Among other teams interested in Decker were the Browns and Saints.
Both those coaches have been under the Parcells system, along with Haley and Pioli, which is interesting. The Chiefs GM recently said he doesn't worry about all the similar players each branch of the Parcells tree is looking for.

LOL j/k
Winning begins with Attitude - Haley and Pioli will be winners in KC!
I'll forever be a Chiefs fan! Only God himself could take that away from me, but when I get to my great reward, I'll rejoin two bigger fans, my Mom and Dad.
DOOD we are looking for the next Wes Welkeresque player!!!
Why you hatin’ on whitey!
Go Chiefs!!!!
Really it's simple
White guy’s make the best slot WR’s. They aren’t cared to take a hit, and usually have more reliable hands. If i was a GM or a coach my slot guy would have to be white, just like the wideout’s would most likely be black, it’s a white man can’t jump type of thing.
