Chiefs Are Rumored To Be Interested In RB Darren Sproles

He would help Jamaal for sure but I would think we want Jamaal nowhere near special teams anymore. Let Sproles finish off our already excellent special teams. Let Charles run the show.

To have two explosive guys like that as RB’s…wow! We would immediately have the best backfield in the NFL…imo.

We could call them Hurrican Charles and Twister Sproles…The Natural Disasters!!

This will take pressure off the pass game, so we wouldn’t take away carries from Charles, but we would add some to sproles.

Jamaal Charles-230-250 carries, 40 pass targets

Darren Sproles-100-130 carries, 60 pass targets.

This will only upgrade the pass game. I would love this move

Sproles could line up in the slot some of the time. He is a sure handed receiver that could help as a safety valve. I just don’t think the Chiefs will pay the money that this guy will want. Somebody better get Chambers on the phone to him to tell him about the Chiefs upcoming superbowl apprearance. Whatever works.

Not a small scat back. Someone like Dixon from Mississippi State in the 3rd or 4th round.

With all of the needs we must address, I don’t see how much we can improve by signing a carbon copy of a player we already have at like 4 or 5 times the price. If/when we add another RB, he needs to be thunder. Sproles is great, but I don’t think he’s looking to play second fiddle at this point in his career.

People whine and bitch about the Chiefs never spending money and going after “name” FAs. Then FA isn’t even open yet and we’re linked to a very very good player and people bitch. Nothing bad will come of this if it happens. Good football players = Good football teams.

Charles doing the 2-down work, with Sproles spelling after long runs and doing some 3rd down work. Maybe some sets with both of them in there in a split-back set then splitting out wide in the slots? Just saying, there’s a lot of possibilities with those two in there.

And on top of that our return game becomes dangerous.

success…with that combo we’d have a feature back, capable backup, viable screen threat, short yardage and goal line back, 3rd down back if needed, and a punt return/kick return guy. Adding Sproels fills a lot of holes. Please KC offer him a great deal and get it done.

Sproles will be offered 5 times the money Charles makes. At least until the Chiefs renew his contract.

Charlie Weis would have some serious dangerous options.

Spoles would be making more money BUT charles hasn’t proved himself for a complete season. Put them both in the backfield with a top 5 pick at offensive tackle and we may have a scary tandem for teams to deal with.

Haley and Pioli have said numerous times about how important special teams are. It changes feild position etc. VERY UNDERATED POSITION. Instead of starting from our 20 were starting from our 27-35. BIg difference when you think about starting feild position of our opponets also after we go 3 and out on every offensive position.

which we only start 2 RB’s, and get points for return yards. Let me assure you, he is up and down the field. He was easily over 100 total yards every week between the return yards, receiving yards (which he is deadly) and some rush yards. I can only pray, we get that sort of yardage monster on the team this year.

He played for K-State when they beat Oklahoma for the big 12 championship game, that was awsome because Oklahoma was #1 that year

but it would be good for our fan base. everyone in KC would love to have sproles come back. if it were up 2 me i’d create a 3 headed monster. Start JC, use sproles on mainly special teams but have him come in as well, and bring in a power back for short yardage
