ESPN Seems To Think Branden Albert Is Already A Guard
This is ESPN's player page for Branden Albert.
I know a lot of folks are expecting the Kansas City Chiefs to select a tackle in the 2010 NFL Draft but isn't this a big assumption here?
Branden Albert was drafted as a left tackle and has played the position since he's been here. Until I'm told otherwise, I'm going to assume he's the left tackle, and not a guard.

I would be interested in seeing ESPNs depth chart
LT: Player to be named later
Not the biggest Matt Light fan here
I guess I wouldn’t complain tho.

Light could be a Chief either way...
he might be released…
* KC now has the best coaching staff in the league
* Pioli will make at least one trade in the offseason, and 2 trades during the draft
* I'd prefer "lightning and lightning" as opposed to "lightning and thunder" when it comes to RBs
* 9-7 is a real possibility in 2010 IF the Chiefs get 4 new starters
* keep Albert at LT, upgrade the positions that NEED upgrading.C, RG, NT, S, LB
WTF
These assclowns in the national media should get their act together. Even during a game last year some announcer said Brian Walters! I’ll add this to my list

Outside of Kansas City and adjoining areas where we Chiefs
fans reside, they don’t give a rat’s a**. They think we are irrelevant to the rest of the NFL (cannon fodder) and who cares if they have their facts straight. That is why I can’t wait until they absolutely have to pay attention to us. We will need to kick some a** to get to that point, but I can’t wait.
ESPN is foreshadowing our draft...
I'd rather be a free man in my grave than living as a puppet or a slave
Branden Albert IS our Left Tackle...period.
A few months ago, I was high on taking Okung as our number 5 pick. After endless hours of research and brainstorming, I realized that was not the best move.
For argument sakes, lets say Albert was a poor LT (which he isn’t). Albert played LT and LG in college and high school (or something like that). He has NEVER played on the right side. Switching him to the right side would screw up his mechanics (think Sackintosh).
So, we can’t move him to the right side, lets move him to left guard. That is all fine and dandy, but you already have a pro-bowl left guard. Waters has 2 or 3 years left in him and it would be premature to bump him now. If you moved him over, you would see a little bit of improvement—over an older pro-bowler; and you would get younger..that is about it. It is a waste of personnel to move him over to LG. Talk to me in 2 or 3 years when Waters is done and Branden Albert has definitively proven whether he can or cannot play LT.
As for his performance this year, the entire left side performed poorly. Waters stank up the joint, as much as Albert, and he is a veteran pro-bowler. Also, in the last few games (when our running game came alive with Charles), Albert and Waters looked solid. So, I think that their poor performance is more systemic than individual failure. I’m just taking a guess here, but I think the the run game keeps the opposing defense from running tons and tons of blitz packages against us. If there is a knowledgeable reader out there…reading this…I would love to hear a breakdown as to why a solid run game takes the pressure off the LT and LG or the entire front line for that matter?
For the record, this is my draft priority for the 5th pick.
1. Eric Berry if Berry gone then…
2. trade down Rolondo McClain + picks
3. no trade down Rolondo McClain
3. no trade down Rolondo McClain gone Dan Williams or maybe Okung
Maybe they're just updating their web pages early?
you know it’s going to happen…
My sentiments are likely to be summed up with one of these 2 quotes:
"Shut the f--- up."- Matt Cassel
"WHAT THE F---?!?!"- Todd Haley

no it's not
i see us taking a NT at #5 before we take a LT. Haley won’t throw BA to the wolves until he shows that he can’t play ball. and since we know BA has worked hard and improved all season long it won’t happen tis year. come back next year if BA has a mediocre season
Seriously mates, when have I ever been sarcastic?
Oh and in case you were wondering, that hug offer is still there when you are ready UC :p
Well he will be hopefully soon.
After we draft LT either Okung, Davis, or Bulaga
If not them then Berry or McClain
"Charles In Charge"
"Defense Wins Championships"
