Former Chiefs Coach Pendergast Leaves Raiders, Heads To Cal

In a strange turn of events, former Kansas City Chiefs defensive coordinator Clancy Pendergast has left the Oakland Raiders to take the defensive coordinator job at Cal-Berkeley, according to the National Football Post.

Pendergast left the Chiefs after Romeo Crennel was hired as defensive coordinator.

Soon after that, he accepted the position of defensive backs coach with the Raiders.

Now, he's the defensive coordinator at Cal.

Boy! That didn't take long.

Nobody wants to work for old AL. He is such a dick, nobody will coach for him.

Long live the crypt keeper!

He ran strait out of the facility

when Al tried to have him strapped down for his first formaldehyde injection. Apparently he didn’t read the fine print in his contract.

Predictions:
This year will be better

What?

He wasn’t ever there long enough to get sucker punched by Cable…or was he?

Don't Fuccop Succop

That's the greatest thing I've read on here in at least a few months.

+1

My long, drawn-out predictions that no one cares about, nor will bother to remember:

1. Todd Haley will still be the Chiefs Head Coach up to the 2011 season.
2. Clancy Pendergast won't make it to the 2010 season and was never intended to. Last-minute hire for a position that needed to be filled.
3. Todd Haley will not be the OC at the start of the 2010 season.

me too

fantastic :)

* KC now has the best coaching staff in the league
* Pioli will make at least one trade in the offseason, and 2 trades during the draft
* I'd prefer "lightning and lightning" as opposed to "lightning and thunder" when it comes to RBs
* 9-7 is a real possibility in 2010 IF the Chiefs get 4 new starters

This sucks

I was really looking forward to playing Clancy’s defense two times a year. :(

+1.

I was looking forward to guys like Devard Darling having career-high, 250+ yard reception days. Or Jackie Battle rushing for 250+ yards the same day Jamaal Charles goes for 300+.

Bring back Clancy, Oakland!

Ouch!!!

That’s just mean…but true!

Yes please!

Atleast hire Tim Krumrie as DC…

I was looking to get atleast 2000yrds on offense against the Raiders. Now we will have to settle for 1500yrds oh well.

i like clancy so im glad not to see him join the dark side

You're a goddamn quarterback! You know what that means? It's the top spot, kid. It's the guy who takes the fall. It's the guy everybody's looking at first - the leader of a team - who will support you when they understand you. Who will break their ribs and their noses and their necks for you, because they believe. 'Cause you make them believe. That's a quarterback.

Cassel can lead us.

he did join the dark side, he just left it afterward.

so it’s more like Return of the Jedi than Revenge of the Sith…which is probably a good thing anyway.

Not by much

Which is more of a knock on Return of the Jefi opposed to a compliment for Revenge of the Sith.

Kcchiefs.com

Needs to merge with us. We could have trademark rights for some killer AP logos. Plus it would create an ultimate Chiefs fan heaven

Go Pac-10!

Bears could probably beat the Raiders

I went over to S&BP to see what they thought about this

and they’re speculating about switching to the 3-4 as well…but they want Tommy Kelly to be the NT ;)

Ryan Succop will be the kicker for the AFC in the 2011 Pro Bowl

Ha

Cable probably said he was going to whoop Clancy’s ass so he hauled it out of town!

Regardless of who the Chiefs pick at #5 overall, Whitlock will call it the worst pick in the history of the Chiefs. Heres to hoping that #5 pick runs Whitlock out of town.....

damn.

i was hoping for two 400 yard passing games vs the raiders next season…

Just like novocaine. give it time; always works..

makes a LOT more sense now

we don’t like yo-yo players OR yo-yo coaches!

Vince Wilfork will be Scott Pioli's top offseason priority and will be a Chief.
KC Will Trade Derrick Johnson=
