Chiefs Draft Options Are "Wide Open" Right Now
Michael Lombardi appeared on NFL Network last week discussing the options available for the teams in the top five of the NFL Draft.
Lombardi previously worked with Scott Pioli in Cleveland, and has correctly predicted a few of the Chiefs biggest moves in the Pioli era (including being the first to say the Chiefs are "in love" with Tyson Jackson), so his words could hold a little more weight than others when it comes to the Chiefs.
"I think the landscape is wide open with the Kansas City Chiefs," he said. "They can go in any direction whatsoever because they need help on the offensive line, they could use another defensive line, the secondary...I think he's in the perfect spot to pick the best player available."
BPA as they call it is what Pioli and Bill Belichick resorted to regularly so that's the most likely option. Lombardi also says he could see the Chiefs moving Branden Albert to guard and replacing him with a left tackle at the top of the draft.
Meanwhile, NFLN's Jason LaCanfora suggests the Chiefs will find a defensive player -- any spot along the front seven needs help, he says -- to help change the face of the franchise.
So basically your draft update is that the Chiefs could pick anyone. Great update, right?

I find that more reassuring than the consensus media view that we have to take a LT!
Predictions:
This year will be better
The consensus in the media was LT last year too
Until the report came out about Tyson a few days before the Draft.
I think this is about right
The Chiefs have a lot of options.. could go a ton of different ways.. hoping it’s either Berry, McClain, Bryant, or a trade down though

Does anybody remember
how close to the draft was it before he started saying that we were going with Tyson Jackson
Looked it up
April 19th…and the draft was the 25th I believe.

This surely doesnt not count....lol
Where are the extra picks?
Haley told the offense to run it again. When someone said the defense already knows the play he responded, "So what, make it work."
It's all very exciting isn't it? I love it. I can't wait to see what we do this year.
This is the put up or shut up year. We won 4 games. Now, the bar is raised even higher. We must see some real improvement. We have the right guys to do it on our coaching staff. I can’t wait to see the draft. I’ll be right here.
Dez Bryant is the type of game changer that we need.
Address the O line and D in the rest of the draft and FA and we can compete for the West next year!
There is no better offensive skill player in the draft and I see Dez Bryant as a potential top 5 reciever in the years to come.
