But what about free agent offensive linemen? If we can fill the O-line needs through free agency that would free up 1 or 2 of the first 4 picks for the defensive side of the ball or WR. I know getting an elite, franchise Left Tackle or great interior lineman is pretty unlikely through free agency but with the money the team has available we may be able to wrestle one or two away.
A quick rundown of quality starting OLs available
Tackle:
Jared Gaither (RFA), OT, Ravens. Age: 24. 4 sacks allowed in 11 starts, young. 6'9 340lbs and very athletic
Jammal Brown (RFA), OT, Saints. Age: 29. 6'6 313. Started 58 of 58 games. Did finish the season on IR but that may help with signability if he checks out physically.
Marcus McNeill (RFA), OT, Chargers. Age: 26. 6'7 336. 5 sacks allowed in 16 games last year. Only missed 2 starts in career. San Diego has alot of RFAs this year and he may be looking for a decent payday.
Guard:
Jahri Evans (RFA), G, Saints. Age: 27 Great run blocker, 1st team all pro. 6'4 318.
Logan Mankins (RFA), G, Patriots. Age: 28 Durable, started 80 out of 80 games. Allowed 1.5 or fewer sacks 3 out of last 5 years. 6'4 310 and at one time owner of the greatest beard in Football!
Marshal Yanda (RFA), G, Ravens. Age: 25 6'3 310. Physical run blocker (desperately needed on our line).
Eugene Amano (UFA), G, Titans. Age: 28 Good run blocker and allowed only half a sack this season. 6'3 310
Evan Mathis (RFA), G, Bengals. Age: 28 Good run blocker and allowed zero sacks this year 6'5 295, might be closer to the size Haley wants
Center:
Jason Spitz (RFA), C/G, Packers. Age: 27 6'3 310. Versatile, can play C or G.
