A Few Former Chiefs Land on NFL's All-Decade Team

The NFL has released their all-decade team and there are a few Kansas City Chiefs connections on there.

First, the obvious ones that have been popping up on quite a few of the all-decade teams.

Any complaints among these?

Priest Holmes and Larry Johnson had incredible runs but didn't have the longevity to be considered. Brian Waters has been incredibly consistent but I'm not sure I would put him in the Faneca/Allen/Shields/Hutchinson discussion.

After the jump are a few of the All-Decade teams we've been seeing recently.

Star-divide

Dallas Morning News' Rick Gosselin All-Decade team.

Sports Illustrated's All-Decade team.

Sporting News' All-Decade team.

ESPN's All-Decade rankings.

DE Glenn Dorsey on two All-Decade teams here and here.

I wouldnt quite consider Zach Thomas a Chief

I know he was technically a Chief but he never even played a down in preseason…

Jared Allen

72 sacks 21 forced fumbles since he came in the league in 2004. He should be on the All Decade Team for sure!

I think Tony Richardson kinda got disrespected.

He was every bit as good and important to his team as Neal was.

The first 3 picks of the draft will be defense. Pioli loves him some defense.

I do Beleive

The Chiefs had the most players on this list than any of the other AFC West teams, if that’s worth anything. A little ironci if you think about it.

There's just something disgusting about TG wearing any other uniform

I agree.

It just doesn’t look right.

Zach Thomas doesn't count.

I mean come on, he never even played a game for us.

My sentiments are likely to be summed up with one of these 2 quotes:

"Shut the f--- up."- Matt Cassel
"WHAT THE F---?!?!"- Todd Haley

Agreed

But, Joel said “Kansas City Chiefs connections”…so technically, Thomas qualifies as having a “connection”.

I don’t think most of us consider Thomas as ever being a member of this team, though.

Jared Allen, Priest Holmes

Priest was numero uno in the NFL during the Chiefs offensive run. Jared came out of nowhere to be phenomenal. If you want longevity, vote in Todd Collins for crying out loud.

AGREE.....

even if it says “connections”…..I don’t think Zach Thomas should be mentioned in there…. AGREE….Tony Richardson should’ve been there.
