Top 10 reasons not to worry about the Chiefs vs. Chargers game

Matt Cassel has some bad luck (and on the 2 year anniversary of his father’s death no less).

So, here are the Top 10 reasons why you shouldn't worry about Cassel's appendectomy affecting this weeks game with the Chargers.

10.  The Chiefs beat the Chargers in week 1 with only 68 yards passing.

9.       While Cassel has been playing well, more importantly, he hasn’t been turning the ball over. This means we aren’t going to have to change our offense much, if at all to get Brodie in the mix. Throw a few short passes and no interceptions and he can get the job done.

8.       Brodie’s 0-9 record came from a team with no running game, one of the worst O-lines in football history and receivers named Jeff Webb, Mark Bradley, Devard Darling, Samie Parker, Will Blackmon (a guy the Pioli cut within his first 2 months here without even a practices worth of watching him.

7.       With a shell of our current team, Brodie had us tied with Baltimore in last years opener, on the road, in the last 3 minutes of the game.  His numbers? 16-22  177 yds 2 td’s no int’s. Sounds pretty game managerish (Matt Casselish) to me.

6.       SD now has a false sense of security. They might try and mail this one in, thinking they have it won before it starts. You’ve seen what happens to SD when they do that.

5.       Jamaal Charles

4.       Norv Turner aka 'Norv Turnin in my headset after we blow this one to Brodie Croyle.'

3.       I want them to win, nuff said

2.     Matt Cassel is crazy enough, I can see him playing anyway

And the #1 reason the Chiefs will still beat the Chargers with backup Brodie Croyle…

1.       It’s a playoff game for the Chargers, and we know what happens when they play those.

I have faith in Brodie

His main downfall is staying healthy, I believe he will stay healthy for one game…

Plus the point is correct, he has a lot better team than when he started, and even than he did against Baltimore… he has never started a game without LJ (2.7 LJ) as his starting RB… and lets be honest, who can win with that?

Now that is a damned shame
he has never started a game without LJ (2.7 LJ) as his starting RB

I was mad as $#%@ when we drafted Dexter McCluster and now I'm ordering his jersey......oh the irony! Go Chiefs!

Damon Huard, Tyler Thigpen and Matt Cassel.

I spilled spot remover on my dog... now he's gone.

Matt Cassel lost more games than Brodie Croyle did last year

So did Peyton Manning, Brett Favre, Tom Brady, Aaron Rodgers, Philip Rivers...

Matt Ryan, Matt Schaub, Drew Brees, Big Ben, Donovan McNabb, Tony Romo, Kyle Orton, Joe Flacco, Jay Cutler, Eli Manning…

(Smiles devilishly)

I love my wife, my kids, and the Chiefs. In that order. Except on game days.

But Croyle's winning percentage was definitely lower.

Straight up 0.000

Chiefs - back in the playoffs in 2011.

Number 1 was my favorite.

Is a very true statement in terms of being a playoff game for the Bolts.

one thing though ...

I don’t thenk the Chargers “mail it in” … they tried that last week

#11 - Win or lose we booze

I don’t comment on this site for the people that are against me and think that I can’t do it. I comment for the people that have always believed in me. I comment for my family, for my wife, for my mother so it really comes down to that.

But I’ll rec that anyways if you promise to take an extra shot for me.

But will Brodie be able to

“Snap the F’ing ball!!!”? Sorry. That will just never get old for me

Reason #7 says it all -

Message to Chargers..

Another reason

Tape from this years games becomes less usefull for the chargers because croyle has a different skill set than cassel so the offense will be different. So the chargers D will be less prepared as they could have been if cassel was playing.

To bad one of Croyles different skills is getting hurt.
