More on what caused this petition:

Seriously, has everyone been listening to Rich Gannon when he does the commentary for our games on TV? This guy CLEARLY hates the Chiefs. I don't know if it was the way he was let go by the Chiefs (don't remember the details - maybe one of you wiser contributors can fill us in) or what but this guy is constantly cheering on the other team. I know one thing, if you go from the Chiefs to the Raiders then your relationship with the Chiefs at the end of your contract HAD to be sour. You don't just go to the Raiders without hating the Chiefs first.

So Gannon is assigned (stupidly) by the network powers that be to babble annoyingly throughout all of our beloved Chiefs games. Gannon constantly talks at length about how great the other team's QB is, talks about what the other team needs to do to beat the Chiefs, Gannon is completely one-sided! I would turn the sound down on the TV and turn on Lenny and the boys on the radio but now I record the game so that I can skip the commercials.

Luckily, the Chiefs have stumped Gannon most of the time. Sometimes with incredible timing! Most memorable was this past week when Gannon was just about to start talking about how great Kerry Collins is and in mid sentence Collins threw the ball right to Berry for the pick 6. That was awesome. Gannon shut up and didn't talk for a few minutes after that. The same thing happened during the Jaguars game. Do you remember how many times Gannon talked about how great Todd Bouman was and how they kept cutting to the stadium to show his family - like 7 times?!! This is unacceptable, how do we go about requesting someone (ANYONE) else to commentate for our games - Gannon has to go.
