Former Chief Mike Richardson Heads To Indy For Playoff Run
Remember CB Mike Richardson?
The Chiefs are familiar with him dating back to last year and most recently signed him last month when they had a couple injuries in the secondary including CB Brandon Flowers. The Chiefs released Richardson last week to make room for WR Quinten Lawrence on the active roster.
And now Richardson is in Indy as he just signed with the Colts, his agent announced.
Indy has had a ridiculous number of injuries this year and that extends to the secondary. Earlier this year they signed DaJuan Morgan, another former member of the Chiefs secondary.
If the Chiefs somehow play the Colts in the playoffs, it would be at Arrowhead Stadium in the AFC Championship game (if the playoff seeds stay the same as it is today) where we could see Mike Richardson again.

Actually, it would be a good thing. You're saying you don't want to host the AFC Championship game at home?
You’re crazy.

Does this help us in the draft?
Does this count towards the compensatory picks? I heard somewhere that we have to lose more than we gain in order to get a comp pick.
We release him and he immediately signs with the Colts. Does that mean that we just got some brownie points towards the Colts? In other words do we get the first shot at a player that they are planning on releasing? Anyone but me think that in a few days we will be signing a released Colts player? I’m thinking that the owners of the Chiefs and Colts made a gentlemen’s agreement for a couple of players.
Off season - Trade ARIZONA enough to get Fitzgerald (thanks Eyepod for free agent status)w/o destroying our draft (thanks Texas Chief)
Pick 1 - Cameron Heyward DE Ohio State (Team Captain)Projected to go around 24th.
Pick 2 - Jerrel Powe NT Mississippi (Team Captain)
Pick 3 - Demarcus Love OT - Arkansas (Team Captain)
Pick 4 - Edmund Gates WR - Abilene Christian (Team Captain)

Holy crap…..AFC championship……Arrowhead Stadium……My brain just exploded from the awesomeness in that sentance
I'd much rather host Baltimore than host Indy.
That said, I’d much rather host Indy than go to New England.
This is all moot though. First we have to go to Pittsburgh, and before that we have to beat New York.
