Why the Chiefs WILL Win the AFC West.

The Chiefs will win the AFC West purely on their schedule. The Rams do not pose much of a threat, yes Sam Bradford is a wonderful QB, but thats just about all St. Louis has, they do not posses a physical enough defense to stop the KC running game, and they do not posses strong man coverage, look for Dwayne Bowe and Dexter McCluster to have good games here. The Titans looked to be title contenders at the beginning of the season but with numerous injuries notably to starting QB  Vince Young, and issues with the head coach the Titans find themselves at the bottom of the AFC South at 5-8. Tennessee has a similar defensive mentality to St. Lous, even with light-footed front four I cannot see their D stopping the KC run, and their offense is unable to produce at this point. Oakland is the one true test to the Divisional Title.

Star-divide

The Oakland Raiders unfortunately have stopped everyone in the AFC West, and if they were able to win a few more games on the road they would have the AFC West on lock. But thats the thing Oakland is (2-5) on the road this season. Now before you point out those 2 wins being within the division, Denver never stood a chance, and San Diego got caught with their pants down. Oakland comes to Arrowhead period. Ill say it again Oakland comes to Arrowhead period. Those that agree with me about the Titans game will understand that will make us undefeated up to the Oakland game. That 12th loud red man will mean quite a bit.

Now lets look at the teams. While extremely alike they posses key differences. We ALL know Oakland has a very strong and physical front 7. But other than their shutdown corner, they pass defense is shoddy at best, in fact, this points to the key to victory for KC. Contain Oaklands front 7, keep them guessing with the run and play-action and look for Cassel to have a big game. Both teams are extremely effective at running the ball and while it has been pointed out that KC has issues stopping the run within the division look for KC to buckle down at home and hold the line. And this time around don't look for Ford to have another huge game. Besides who knows in the end maybe the Donkeys have late season magic and can win in the mountains against San Diego.

Overconfident much?

All three of these games could be losses and all three could be wins. Nobody knows. The Chiefs, while much better than I would have hoped at the beginning of the season, are not a great team. We are a good team, around middle of the pack in the NFL. When you are middle of the pack there are rarely easy games.

Should we win all three of these games? Yes, although our road record might favor the Rams this week. Will we win all three? Time will tell.

Naw

While it is the NFL, and anything happens on Sunday, the reality is that’s what looks to happen, I don’t know if you have paid attention to that st. Louis defense or the Titan offense with Kerry Collins at the helm but it’s not pretty

Our run defense keeps all of these teams in the game.

Steven Jackson, Chris Johnson, McFadden/Bush. Not what I am looking forward to seeing on the field against our defense. We have been shredded the last couple of games by teams that have weak running games. These are no joke. If we continue to get blown up on the DL and miss tackles by LB, we could lose all 3. I’m not sure why I see so many posts saying these are all sure wins. We can’t afford to lose any since SD will run the table at this point in the season with most of their weapons back.

Keeping perspective...improvement is 6 wins, but I think 8 is attainable.

We're rooting for San Francisco...

as much as they’re rooting for us this week.

Last week was a little hard to swallow...I thought we were better.

In fact, a bit kinda came back up…. I musta ate or drank somethin that dis-agreed with me. Maybe the kool-aid. Well…. I feel better now … ready for more…

We can win three in a row… We have done it twice so far… or win two of three and have SD drop one. Not as likeley, but possible. If we accomplish either of those challenges, maybe Haley will think of this years Chiefs as a GOOD TEAM. So will I. At least we are knockin on the door and that is better than past several years. Pass the Kool Aid Please.

nah i like it better when we are 2-14

so we can all argue the entire offseason about who we will pick in the draft that is worth spending 4z bajillion dollars on….much more fun than playoffs
