Haley's Recipe has been to avoid mistakes and win the hidden yardage game. Against the Chargers our Offense produced 0-INTs, 0-Fumbles and only 2 Penalies for 15 yards. The attack was balanced (17 rushes vs 17 pass attempts). Our Defense avoided the big play. We actually gave up only 1 play to SD over 20 yards.
As Emeril would say, we forgot the "BAM". Maybe it is not the recipe but the ingredients? Did we not bring the HEAT? Maybe the Chief Chef forgot to add "Stir until mixture breaks down".
Perhaps we forgot that no matter what plays or players you use, you have to apply stress to make the other team break down. We did not try hard enough to "Add dash of McCluster and stir". Maybe we just forgot to turn the oven on. What favorite "recipe" would you like to see in St Louis?
