Brodie Croyle = Ringo Starr

Stay connected for news and updates

I don't usually do the fanpost thing, but all of the recent Brodie bashing has got me thinking. Who in the world is the best comparison to Brodie Croyle? There is one obvious answer...Ringo Starr. My reasoning is simple and to the point, and I'm not going to spend a lot of time on the resemblence between the two of them.

Ringo was not the first drummer for the Beatles. Just as Croyle is the backup QB, Ringo filled in for the Beatles.Somehow he became part of the band.

Ringo was arguably the least talented of the bunch. Much like Croyle is supposedly the least talented person on the Chiefs roster. John Lennon had stated that Ringo was not a great drummer, but was a great Beatle. Croyle may not be a great QB, but is a good Chief. The other members of the band were good enough that Ringo's lack of true talent did not hold them back. Maybe the same can be said for Brodie Croyle. Time will tell.

Ringo didn't perform many of the lead vocals, but his were the most memorable. Yellow Submarine, Octopus' Garden, With a Little Help From My Friends were all recorded with Ringo singing lead. Croyle will be leading the Chiefs against the Chargers today. Maybe this will be a classic as well. Brodie Croyle can get by with a little help from his friends today in San Diego.
