I just wanted to make a list of the upcoming players on the Chiefs roster that will be a FA after this year or next. The news of Jamaal Charles' big payday made me wonder how many players we still had to secure.

 There are currently 24 FA players for 2011. Here they are

That is it. There is also Verran Tucker, but from my information it just said that his contract is undisclosed. I think this could be because he was a practice squad guy that was brought up.  What about Brandond Flowers?? He is a FA in 2012.

Here is my wish list of players that need contract extensions and should in my opinion become priority people.

Dwayne Bowe. We absolutely need this guy. I would love to get another WR that can stretch the field to go along side him, but he is by far our biggest receiving option.

Brandon Carr. I don't think that there is a Chiefs fan that would argue. He has not always shown greatness, but he showed that when he really has to be, he is pretty special, right Denver? If we sign him and Flowers, we will have a set defensive backfield for at least 3 more years.

Brodie Croyle.  I might catch some flack for this, but in my opinion Brodie is a good QB. I know I have heard that next year he wants to try to start somewhere. But I think that we should at least try to extend his contract and shop him. I have a feeling after the Chargers game he will be worth a little more. If we get rid of him we MUST address QB in the draft and free agency.

Ron Edwards. This guy has really come through for us this year. I think it really helped him to have Shaun Smith to give him some rest. Kind of like Croyle, if we let him go, then I think it would be an area that we would HAVE to address rather than it being a need this year.

Brandon Flowers. This guy probably won't get an extension till next year in my opinion, but we all know that BFlow is gonna get some dough. This guy need to get more attention from the media. With Carr, Berry, Arenas, and Lewis in our defensive backfields, we could be one of the best in the league in another year.

Tamba Hali. Many expected him to fail when he went to the OLB position, now he is one of the best in the league. This guy is going to get paid big time. I really hope that it is by us.

John McGraw. A solid Safety, and a very good ST player. I think he is slowing down, but maybe a year or 2 year extension.

Rudy Niswanger. I consider him a career back up probably but we need to keep some depth. If we replace him I am OK with that but we need some depth.

Ryan O'Callaghan.Another person that is needed as depth.

Barry Richardson.  I like this guy. I know that his character was called out for shoving a coach, but he plays with a lot of heart, and he is able to move all around the line. A good value person, and a good team player.

Shaun Smith. All jokes aside, this guy has really helped out our defense. Hell, he has helped our offense too! I would like to see Shaun retire in 4 or 5 years as a Chief. I like "the fat man."

Casey Weigman, I think that the addition of him and Ryan Lilja have been some of the best pick ups for us. Our protection is so much better this year and it is a lot to do with these guys. I know he is getting older, but I would like to see him next year, and maybe the year after.

Verran Tucker. I am not sold on this guy, but I think we could sign him for pretty cheap and he has quite a bit of upside.
