The Raiders Phenomenon

 

I heard any interesting stat through a friend the other day.  He said he heard on the radio that teams that have played the Raiders typically go on to lose the following week – supposedly because the Raiders play such physical football – the opposing team has a hard time recovering.  I did a little research and looked it up:

As you can see, teams are 2-9 coming off a game against the Raiders this year (and really should be 1-10 if Steve Johnson could catch a damn ball!).  There are some pretty bad losses in there as well – SD against STL, SF against CAR, KC against DEN, and MIA against CLE.  It seems to suggest that there is something to this theory.

 

Combine that with the extensive injury report of the Chargers, I think the Chiefs are primed for a home upset of the Chargers this weekend!
