How good are the Chargers in December and what does it mean to us?

Whether we admit it or not, the Chargers are an amazing team that plays very well in December (as of recent). I respect that about them because when it is time to grind, they grind and get the job done. Let's look at their history in December over the past 5 years.

2005: 2-3

Losses: Dolphins, Chiefs, Broncos. In that order
Wins: Raiders, Colts
Outcome: Miss the playoffs with a 9-7 record
Not stellar but with a 9-7 record, a team can build from it with a couple key acquisitions.

2006: 5-0
Wins: Bills, Broncos, Chiefs, Seahawks, Cardinals
Losses: NONE
Outcome: Playoffs with a 14-2 record. Lose in the playoffs to the Patriots after dropping ZERO games at home that season. 24-21. Also, LT whines and his play decline. I blame plenty on the O-line but I digress.

2007: 5-0
Wins: Doesn't matter at this point

2008: 4-0

2009: 4-0

Current streak: 18

What does this mean? To the national media, they already won the division, just hand them the crown already (stares hard at Michael Irvin and every other average fan or so called expert). To the Chief nation, okay we recognize that they are a threat in December but we have the division in our hand. Lets just win out and the division is ours. To me, their 18 game win streak means next to nothing. Oh (gasp), why you ask? okay read further......

They haven't won a Lombardi Trophy so I don't believe that they can win it anytime soon or for the sake of this argument not this year. I am not basing my argument of said information above. I am using it as a disclaimer because people are so quick to anoint them the king of the West when they haven't done much. K. Read further...

I mus reiterate & acknowledge that an 18 game winning streak is impressive! That said record will not determine the outcome though of the next 5 games, can somebody correct me if I'm wrong. What I'm saying is that this is the NFL... THE NFL. They have as much of a chance as losing as we do on any given Sunday. I refuse to stress over the Chargers who have a worst record than us. Not me. Not now. We should be having the Bolts fearing us and not the other way around.
Too many times its the Chargers this, Chargers that. Why not Chiefs this, Chiefs that? I like to be realistic at times but every good streak must come to an end. And it begins this Sunday.

3899953986_382a73a5a0_z_mediumI foresee a total meltdown by the Chargers according to their standards.

Let me repeat that. They will not go 5-0. I am going out on a limb but the tides are quickly turning right before our eyes in the AFC WEST. I will predict that they go 3-2 over the next five games. Now I may be wrong, they could go 1-4 :) but I am going on a stripper pole limb and say they will not go 5-0 or 4-1. I may be wrong but I have faith in my Chiefs to turn it up a notch and were playing the best football since '03 season. IFMatt plays consistent and we take care of business then the Chargers have no shot and we could careless how the Chargers finish because if we win we're in from here on out. I want to strike the utmost fear into Chargers fans when they got to play Charles, DJ, Flowers, Bowe, Dorsey, Hali, and Matt Cassel.

I don't know maybe I am a stupid fan :P but I know that any given Sunday is true and all good streaks must come to an end. I mean it did with Elway. The Cowboys won a playoff game. Patriots lost in the Superbowl. The Chargers will not win out this year. Norv isn't good enough. Agree or Disagree and why?
