Chiefs-Chargers Not Flexed In Week 14; Eagles-Cowboys Remains On Sunday Night

Stay connected for news and updates

Kansas City Chiefs fans were hoping the Dec. 12 game against the San Diego Chargers would be part of the NFL's flex schedule moving it to Sunday night. Though there were no indications that would happen, we still held out hope.

There's no more hoping because it's official: Chiefs-Chargers will not be flexed to Sunday Night Football. The NFL announced on Tuesday that the Philadelphia Eagles and Dallas Cowboys game originally scheduled for Sunday night will remain in place.

The only game moving is the New England Patriots and Chicago Bears game which moves from early to late afternoon.

The Eagles-Cowboys will likely draw big ratings. To be a Cowboys fan, you can't be from Dallas so they have a huge fan base and then there's the Michael Vick factor for the Eagles. I understand the NFL's reasoning for keeping Eagles-Cowboys but I think we can all agree that Chiefs-Chargers is a game that actually means something.

I just wish it wasn't always about money (though I do understand why it is).
