I'm hoping some one here would be able to give me a few words of wisdom on DirecTV. I'm in MD, running with Verizon FiOS, which I'm fine with, but I think it's time to pony up and switch to DTV so I can get the Ticket and watch the Chiefs games. I've been weighing the pros and cons of switching, but finally being able to watch the Chiefs in my own home is tilting the scale heavily in DTV's favor. I'm just wondering if anyone has any opinions on the subject, are the prices cheaper, how is the signal during storms, would they have to tear up my place to run new wires or can they use the existing ones from Verizon. Also, do they come out for a pre-inspection before installation to see if it's even possible for me to have an open shot at the HD Satellite, I've heard from buddies that if you have interference, they can't use the HD dish and your stuck with SD. If that's the case, that wraps it up right there, I'm not rocking standard definition, no way, no how.
One more question, if the Chiefs game is blacked out in KC, would I still get it in MD?
