Broncos, Head Coach Josh McDaniels Fined $50,000 For Videotaping

Stay connected for news and updates

Perhaps the best line that came out of the Todd Haley and Josh McDaniels non-handshake was ESPN's Keyshawn Johnson saying the Denver Broncos head coach is just trying to be like Bill Belichick.

Apparently in more ways than one, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter:

Josh McDaniels has been fined $50,000 by Commissioner Roger Goodell for prohibited videotaping of opposing team practice.

Indeed, the Denver Post reported on Saturday that the NFL was investigating the Broncos after word apparently got out that they were videotaping the San Francisco 49ers walk-through before their game last month in Wembley Stadium. Belichick was involved in a similar incident before the Super Bowl against the St. Louis Rams and was later fined $500,000.

It's interesting that only a few short weeks after that incident KC Chiefs head coach Todd Haley said to McDaniels: "There's a lot of (expletive) being talked about you.'
