It's been a long week, coming off a blowout loss at Mile High. A lot of posts about The Starting QB of the Kansas City Chiefs this week, both positive and not so positive. Posts about a place Somewhere Over The Dwayne Bowe, posts about how awesome the Chiefs are, how terrible the Chiefs are, and how very mediocre the Chiefs are as well.
But one thing we haven't done is heard from those who have a different perspective on things. No, not bloggers from MHR. I speak of those who seem to have a different sense, something that all too often we humans lack. That's right, the animals of our world. Follow me as we take a little trip, and get inside some other heads, pick a few other brains and find out just what the critters think of our team. Come on, let's jump right in ...
I've asked a few furry and feathered friends to help me out here, and while they can't exactly talk like we can, they have given me some clues as to what they're thinking, what's going on inside their heads about our favorite team. Here's what they had to say.
How close is this team to being the playoff contender and, ultimately, the Super Bowl contender that all Chiefs fans want to see?
Well, I suppose most of us knew that, deep down inside. But we've all had a lot of hope for this season. What did you think of the game on Sunday against Denver? What are your final thoughts on that loss?
Yes, just what many of us here at Arrowhead Pride thought as well. Are you as tired as the rest of us about the near-endless posts and converations about Matt Cassel? I mean, is he really all that bad?
That's how I feel, too. So what about the running game? It was so good early in the year, any ideas on what happened? We all thought the running game would be more than enough to carry the team in every game.
Yes, many of us thought it looked easy, but I suppose looks can be deceiving. Still, with all the new additions this year, so many of were sure that we had great players at every position. Were we seeing things wrong?
I know there's a lot of disappointment in Chiefs Nation after that last game. A lot of people have really been complaining, and it seems like a lot of angst about the team falling to a 5-4 record after such a fast start. Are the fans right to be moaning so much about everything?
So you think the team still needs to improve in some places? Well, you're probably right, but it sure looks like we're headed in the right direction, at least. We just need a few more horses under the hood, right?
Yeah, hard to argue with that. I guess it will take a little more time until this team is where we really want it to be. Last question: do you have any complaints about Scott Pioli or Todd Haley?
Right, I feel the same way. You don't want to mess with those guys, for sure! Any last words of wisdom for our human friends?
Keep smiling, my friends. Geaux Chiefs!
